Thank you! I hope to be a tiny bit less sporadic this year. It's not good for my quilling to take such long breaks, every project feels like the first one all over again. Unfortunately it's not good for my shoulder to do too much crafting, so I hopefully I can find that balance. But guess what? I did two other blue heart designs - one didn't work out, but the other I'm hoping to make into a video, maybe Mother's Day. Thanks for the comment Barb!

@@annigancreates6074 I certainly can relate to one’s body not cooperating with what you want to do. It’s so frustrating that even some simple tasks are hard. So I understand when you feel like your body is staging a revolt or mutiny and won’t let you do what your hearts desire is. Can’t wait to see y’all again soon!

So often YTers really bore me and I can’t even listen to some of them bc they are somewhat annoying. You have just the right amount of instruction with humor and a great voice. I will be watching you more and thank you for such great beginner instruction.

Oh that is beautiful, I am trying to relearn quilling and found the paper craftery here on KZbin and have now been recommended your channel. Fingers crossed I can produce something as beautiful as this. I am planning to make family birthday cards and other projects whilst I am bed bound and am grateful for channels like this. Xxxx

I'm sorry to hear you're currently bed bound, but good job making the most of it, developing talents and sharing them with others. I learned so much about quilling the year I decided to quill birthday gifts. Other quillers on YT do a great job (like paper craftery.) I don't get to watch them very often, but it's interesting to see how other quillers work and what they make.

I've found that if I tear the strip instead of cutting, I have a much smoother glued seam. I rarely use the scissors.

Thank you! My storage system is not worthy of a video, ha ha. Not right now anyway. But I can tell you that I take good care of the strips by keeping them in the original plastic sleeves they came in and stacked in a cardboard box for protection. Thanks for your comment!

How to you make your outlines? I printed a pattern out, but am struggling getting a quilling paper outline that doesn’t go all wobbly.
@annigancreates6074
@annigancreates6074 Жыл бұрын
Here are my tips for outlines: #1 - I like to use a stiffer paper for the outline, a 65 lb cardstock (which is 176 gsm). The extra thickness helps it be more sturdy and prevents some of the waviness that can come with a thinner paper. #2 - I like to use Aleene's tacky glue, which is thicker than Elmer's. It's a pain to squeeze out of the precision tip bottle (the kind that comes in a kit) but it makes a thin line that dries quickly, meaning I don't need to prop up the outline with pins until it dries. #3 - I glue the outline down a section at a time. For longer straight sections, pull the paper taut and hold it on the glue until it stands on its own. Here's a link to one of my outline videos if you want to see this in action: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oGixooWNbN5mjs0 Hope that helps!

My CTR ring? I got it from the BYU bookstore in Provo UT years and years ago. It has held up well for being so inexpensive, although over the years it has become misshapen to fit my misshapen finger. 😁

Where can i get the letter outline patterns?
@annigancreates6074
@annigancreates6074 2 жыл бұрын
Good question. Unfortunately I'm not set up to do anything but video tutorials right now. But if you have a computer I bet you can create your own patterns. Choose a font that you like, turn it into an outline and make it the size you want. Voila! All you need to do is print it and you're ready to go.
