Stockings are a big deal in our family. They look to them more than their gift. I going make gift tags out with their initial on them. So adorable. Can’t wait to give this a try.

This card is adorable Miriam, great use of the crimped strips to give the knitted texture of the stockings and the honeycomb tops are perfect. The tradition in Ireland is for children to leave their stockings on the end of their beds on Christmas Eve for Santa to fill with toys when he visits overnight. The children have to leave out a glass of milk and cookies for Santa and a carrot for Rudolf so that they don’t get hungry during their long night! If the children have been good and have stayed asleep all night they will find their stocking filled with toys and treats on Christmas morning… Mam and Dad just hope it’s not too early!! These are just lovely. I still have most of the baubles that I grew up with, some date back to the early early 40s when my parents married, they are very special to me now as both parents have had there time here and are gone, along with along with a sister. Happy memories of decorating the tree with them.
