This tutorial is perfect! Your instruction is so succinct, and what a clever method. I got my first two rows sewn together and started the stitching on a whim last night, and I really enjoyed it. I had no idea what a Kantha quilt was before your video popped into my feed last week, and now I’m hooked. I hope something wonderful happens for you today! 🖤

Yes! Another flannel-instead-of-batting-quilter. I love to use old flannel-sheets from the thrift shop to make 'summer-quilts'. Thanks for the inspiration. I've made a chair-cover with the chakra-colours this summer... guess a chakra-kantha-quilt would be make it even better. 😉

You are welcome you can also make what they call summer quilts they can be a cotton top and a flannel or cotton back if you are using flannel make sure you pre wash it because it shrinks more than the cotton does. The one in he video was a thrifted flannel sheet

Thank you so much Terry!

I’ve seen this type of sewing a simple quilt done in India I think where a woman would sew a quilt out of any clothing or textiles a family wanted to upcycle. It was mesmerizing but started sewing on the perimeter to the center sometimes incorporating new pieces of fabric as she went. Every culture has their version.
