Love the improvised painted quilts. Do you find it hard to quilt through the paint? Acrylic paint? What size/type needle?
@Colorcodeddreams3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Susan. I use a 90/14 needle and I don't find it hard to quilt through the paint. Once I've heat set it I don't find them to thick to quilt through. They can be difficult when u unpick because you can see the holes but I iron and wriggle the fabric a bit which helps to get it back to some normality before I go again.

Your colors are so vibrant, what paints are you using?
@Colorcodeddreams3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Valerie. All the paints are fabric paint. My favourite is Marabu but I also use Permaset, Jacquard, Hi-Strike and mix them amongst each other.

And, while I'm asking, what type of fabric and brushes does she use?
@Colorcodeddreams3 жыл бұрын
Calico and just cheap brushes generally a bit if trial and error.

Thank you Tania for taking the time to answer these questions. Your painted quilts are very beautifully intuitive and a welcome relief for those of us who prefer organic shapes sans patterns to follow!
