0:47 -- the wattage rating of the speaker doesn't make it louder. The speaker efficiency rating makes the speaker louder. What the 300 watt speaker lets you do is handle more watts coming from the amp (which can make things louder) without damaging the speaker. You could also plug a 5 watt amp into the 300 watt speaker but the speaker efficiency would be what gauges how loud the speaker is.. not the power rating it can handle.

You're correct! I think the point I was trying to make was the combination of a quilter toneblock head (up to 200 watts) and this cab can get really loud if you want it to. You do a better job of explaining it :)

The head/cabinet combo takes pedals really well! Reacts and sounds very similar to tube amps.

Question can u use another head with this cab if I didn't have any quilter tone blocks maybe a Prs head or Marshall head ? Nice playing by the way thanks for the video

Glad you enjoyed it! Yes, you can plug different heads into it and it sounds great. I’ve only tried quilter heads into it but they sound great.

What's your opinion of the cab build quality / ruggedness? Thanks
@sheifiproductions2 жыл бұрын
Seems to be built very well! I've never had any issues with it. Everything I've ever bought from quilter has been good quality.

@@sheifiproductions Agreed. I've been gigging with the MicroPro Mach 2 8" + 12"HD extension cab. I've ordered the Tone Block 202 and wanted to know if its 12"HD cab is as rugged as the one I have. The MicroPro cab and combo are built, as you know, with rugged ABS or similar material covering the wood.

can i pair this block dock 12hd to Quilter Steelaire Pro Steel Guitar Combo Amplifier for the extension speaker?
@sheifiproductions5 жыл бұрын
Yes, you should be able to! The speaker in this cabinet is rated at 300 watts and 8ohms. I haven't owned the Steelaire combo before but looks like it accepts anywhere from 2 to 16 ohms so should be good to go.

Great demos n playing as well. Do you think that cabinet is loud enough for small gigs with a loud drummer?
@sheifiproductions3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yes, the cabinet with the Tone Block 200 is crazy loud! Definitely loud enough for small (and not so small gigs) with a drummer. It of course depends on what head you run into the cabinet but the speaker in cabinet is rated at 200 watts so can handle a lot.

@@sheifiproductions thank you so much for the response. I have the Interblock 45. I wish i could find one to test on local store before buy it. Anyway Thanks again.

@@andretoyo Unfortunately, really difficult to find many places that carry much quilter stuff. I bought it without trying just based on the fact that I've liked pretty much everything I've ever tried/owned from quilter. A little pricey compared to some other products but always great quality.

Speaker sounds a little dark... Can you get some additional presence from it..?
@sheifiproductions5 жыл бұрын
It can definitely get a little brighter than in the video. It’s a Celestion speaker so the highs are definitely a little more tame or mellow than a more American voiced speaker like Jensen or Eminence. I find it to be very well balanced and musical but it won’t get the same kind of brightness as a Fender amp.
