Love the Kaffe Fassett content! I’m a huge fan 😊 My current jam is using KF prints in traditional quilt motifs 😍 I enjoy the mix of traditional and modern.

YESSS! Likewise, Heather. I think it would be fun to try using his prints with more traditional 🤗.

The Carillon shawl is gorgeous in the interaction between the lace and the brioche sections. And your yarn colors are moody and warm! lol I recently brought home a tiny skein of Ito too! 🎉

I’ve challenged myself to finish as many WIPs as I can in February. But seeing how gorgeous your Carillon Shawl is coming along is making me want to cast on one for myself. I think my Epic MAL project needs to be actually finishing my WIPs!

Sounds like a solid plan! Of course, one or two new and shiny projects should be allowed 😉

Love that shawl... Gorgeous work. Epic projects to use my stash. I'm finding mohair to mix with my stash. Adds some excitement to a project.

The carillon shawl is fabulous. I love brioche but can not get it to work for me. Kaffe Fassett is the best.

Thank you, Phyllis! Ah, brioche isn't everyone's cup of tea. But also, sometimes it's just about finding a tutorial out there that makes it click for you. I hope you find one! 🤗

Love the shawl, Kristin! Still haven't gotten up the nerve to try brioche, although I do have a beginner's kit from Morehouse Merinos. Maybe this will be the year!

Thank you, Debra! Oh, I hope you do give brioche a try. It's super fun once you get the gist. 😉

Like I've said before I cant believe how much you get done from one episode to the next!! I had to laugh about the staying home instead of going out to eat! We are the same way! We live in a town of 600 and they have 2 eating places but it's just too much trouble to get ready to go out. LOL I can cook something quicker. Plus saves a ton of money to buy yarn and fabric! LOL

Great episode! For the MAL I got ambitious and chose to make a 48 inch square filet crochet curtain for my bathroom with Aunt Lydia size 10 ecru crochet cotton and a 2.35 mm hook. My brilliant plan to use foundation single crochet for the starting row has completely failed. It's obviously longer than the 6 inches of pattern I've done so far. It's wavy and there's no saving it - I must start over. Don't know why this weirdness occurred but thought I'd share for anyone who thinks of trying filet crochet with a foundational cast on.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience! That sounds like a challenging project, but the FO will be so beautiful and worth it! Sometimes it takes a few false starts to get a project going 🤦♀

So did you make a smaller size since you used Aran weight plus mohair? I have such a loose gauge and I knit Continental style so I usually go down two sizes of needles in whatever I knit. It took me a while to figure this out since when I first started knitting I knit with the English method of throwing and gauge was not a problem. So I am using DK and size 2 needles on my 5th Oslo hat.
@Voolenvine9 ай бұрын
Hey Josephine! I'm knitting her non-mohair version (size Adult Medium) which calls for DK weight yarn. I completely forgot to mention that while the Fibre Co. yarn I'm using claims to be Aran weight, I personally think it could pass for DK/sport. 😊
