Hi Kea! Love your videos but your quilting tutorials are my favorite. You are such an amazing teacher and I’ve learned so much from those sewing videos! Gide yourself some grace though- you are a busy lady!! Hopefully more sewing videos will follow, but if not, your community is always here! 💕💕

Dear Kea: Please stop being so hard on yourself. I'm in the 12th minute of your video and you just said, again, something like, "There is no excuse. I don't know why I don't have this done." Kea, I haven't been enjoying your videos for very long (a couple months a most), but it seems you have children you love (and don't tell me they aren't work - we raised six), you home school, adore your dear husband, are involved in community (on line and in the real world), you sew commissions, are a great hostess and friend. Good grief! I'd say you were a miracle worker who loves to share her joy. So please get a hug from your hubby, kids, close friends, and know that some things do take precedence to finishing every thing you start. You will finish these beautiful things one at a time. Some just take longer - kinda like kids. Thank you for all you do. PS: Loved your quilt parade! Anytime shared with you in your studio is rich with inspiration and nice-ness. Again, thanks!

You are living at the speed of light right now with your family, homeschooling, and all that entails. You will get to the quilts and all the cross stitch, so for now, feel free to share any or all projects waiting in the wings with us. I love seeing them all. I kit up cross stitch projects and quilt projects as if I lived alone and had a housekeeper and a cook…..which I don’t. I have a husband that likes to eat my cooking and a home that needs dusting and cleaning, and grown children navigating life, who need our help from time to time, and of course grandchildren that need looking after from time to time. Life just does not go by my rules or wishes, so I’m happy to keep kitting up projects and working on them as time permits. Keep sharing and I’ll keep watching. Blessings and take care.

I just loved this video. I enjoyed seeing all your kitted projects and your unfinished ones. I am a firm believer that it's ok to have things in multiple stages or so close to being finished, and we don't understand why we haven't yet. You'll get there, give yourself some grace! I'm excited to see your quilty bug come back and can't wait to see what wonderful things you sew. 💗

Hi Kea, I really needed this. I cross stitch and quilt also. (And I do other things like make lace, dye yarn, sew clothing....) I'm in the process of moving/reorganizing my workroom. Soooo, I can relate with buying or putting together "kits" for quilts and cross stitch and never get them done. I work as a cashier at one of the busiest delis in Las Vegas. By the time I get home I'm drained and can't get anything done. I will buy fabric for a couple of quilts and forget which quilt the fabric goes to. I now buy fabric for only one quilt at a time. In the evenings I'm working on spreadsheets for my cross stitch patterns and kits....and where they are. And I've started one for quilts.

I would love to see more videos like this. I primarily cross stitch and knit and do some sewing which has left many of my quilt projects in bags, boxes, and plastic containers, abandoned at whatever stage they were in when I put them away. This has inspired me to go through these bags, boxes and plastic storage containers to reignite my quilty bug. Thank you for the inspiration!

I love, love, love that Riley Blake Sweet and Simple! I am collecting fabric to do that quilt now. Look at it in a different light. Life gets in the way. When you do have the quilts done you can remember that you loved the fabric etc. plus you like so many of us just can’t resist a beautiful kit. When you do get time it will get done. Don’t stress! Quilting is relaxing. 😂😂😂

I'm glad you made this video. I originally started watching you when you were quilting. I stopped watching when you stopped quilting. I recently started watching again when you were in the other studio. Anyway - I hope looking at all your stuff will be the impetus for you to get back into it. I do lots of crafts too and it can be overwhelming at times and I've gone through seasons when I focus on just one craft.

I enjoyed the ufo parade. I even went to Jedi girl and printed the Five Fat Quarter pattern. As far as the ones you don’t want to talk about I had just started watching you tube before that happened and don’t remember want happened. But if it was what had turned you off quilting I suggest you pass those items on unless you absolutely love them so your not reminded. I thought you just was busy with cross-stitch and wasn’t taking time for quilting right now. We all go through different seasons with our crafting. I have ufos in cross-stitch, crochet, quilting, hand embroidery and machine a well a other crafts 😁. Hope you catch the bug again.

I hope you find your passion for quilting reignited. There are only so many hours in a day and you are a busy mom. Now that I am a new grandmother I love to create something that I know will be loved by grandkids. I have learned to stash in complete projects because often when I get to sew a project all the fabrics are gone from the shops. Now I just plan a quilt from pattern to backing when some fabric inspires me and I know WHEN I get to it, it is all there! When did tech guy stop filming with you? ❤️ your videos.

I loved seeing your Quilty stash. However, it did not make me feel any better about the kits/WIPS I have in MY stash. I could warm my county if I’d just get busy. Be kind to yourself, you are a fiber artist. ❤❤. I made a quilted wall hanging with my Kona panel. No light gets to it and it’s easy to lay my fabric up to it. FYI, Poinsetta. 🫣
