Here’s the deal about binding: for 25 years I just inserted the ends into each other. Finally, I bought the binding tool. It worked PERFECTLY. The first time. Several times after that, I struggled to make it work. Now I just insert the ends into each other again. I love hand stitching the binding down. And I just discovered big-stitch binding, and I LOVE that! Rosie is cute, congratulations on the finish! 🥰

Tell me more about big stitch binding!!

@ well, I have searched and I can NOT find the video I first used, but there are a bunch of them. Melanie Traylor does a good one. The method uses size 8 perle cotton and you use a running stitch that resembles big stitch quilting but it doesn’t go all the way through. You can machine sew the binding like regular onto the quilt-on the top if you want the big stitch on the back, or on the back if you want the big stitch on the front where it’s more visible. Just search big stitch binding and you will get at least half a dozen videos. It’s beautiful and soothing. Enjoy!! 🥰
