Imagine my surprise when the last quilt that she pulled out looks exactly like the one on my bed right now - pieced by my great grandmother and grandmother, finished by my grandmother for me as a wedding shower gift, given to me in 1973. I don't know if they did it as an EPP, but it is totally hand sewn, so I don't know how else they could have done it! This is an old pattern, love the modern version you have done as well - has so much style!

I loved this tutorial. I have been working on seven sisters blocks using diamonds. I am doing it all by hand and love it. Thank you for the tips I got from this video.

Edyta, you are so talented. I own 2 quilt books, and they are both published by you! I am presently working on the Pensylvania Star quilt from Patches of Stars. I had previously made the candy dish table runner, and one of the most challenging parts was appliqueing the little circles. Would you please make us a video showing how you stitch down your applique work? especially small pices like circles or flowers? It would be great to watch your process on aplique. Thanks so much. you are truly inspiring to me and if you ask me..... the "gold standard" of what quilting should be! Bless you!

This was amazing. I've never seen this made in strips before. My grandma made one in the 30s or 40s which I have and have been wanting to make one myself.

Do you sell the pattern, I looked on your website but did not see it. I think this is so beautiful. I don’t like hand sewing, but helping a friend right now that started hers 20 years ago and is now trying to finish it. She basted through the paper, so I am just removing the basting and and the papers. Have me inspiration to give it a try. Thank you for the great video.

Love everything you did and showed us today. Your lesson makes me want to start this quilt right away. One question ... do you take out the paper template if you don’t use the gluing technique? If you leave it in you can’t ever wash the quilt with the paper template because if Is left in it would make the quilt stiff.
@elizabethveness73404 жыл бұрын
The papers are designed to be popped out and reused. You take the paper out once it is surrounded by other material so it keeps it shape. Even with the glue it can pop out. I was confused when I first learned

What size hexagon did your friend use to make the tabletop? Beautiful quilt!

I've never used the glue method but it looks really quick. Does the paper come out easily? Does it leave a residue on the fabric?
@TheSabinewalkden4 жыл бұрын
I found I struggled with the glue method so always baste instead.
