"Ai No Corrida" is a song by the English singer and multi-instrumentalist Chaz Jankel, written by Jankel and Kenny Young. The title is based on the Japanese title of the erotic film In the Realm of the Senses. It was first recorded in 1980 and featured on Chaz Jankel's debut album Chas Jankel for A&M Records. The song was covered by Quincy Jones in 1981 on his album The Dude, with vocals by Dune (a.k.a. Charles May) and Patti Austin. Jones's version peaked at number 28 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and number 10 on the R&B chart. Quincy Jones's 1981 recording of the song won the Grammy Award for Best Arrangement, Instrumental and Vocals in 1982.

Quincy Jones is a master arranger; the selection of vocalists and instructmentalists to produce a piece of music is incredible. The music plays in his heart first, bearing in mind his is not the originator or first performer of this song. The original composer of “Ai No Corrida” is a guy called Chas (or Chaz) Jankel. Chas was this skinny, geeky English kid who was really into dance music.

Love this song and I had the 45 single, but have since lost it. But for a minute at 2:20 of this video, I thought they focused on the beautiful blonde backup singer was because it was Peggy Lipton, who I believe he was still married to at this time. Yes at 1981 this was quite a few years after The Mod Squad, but she still looked great many years afterward.
