Thank you! I did not go to Cape Cod on this past trip - I just stayed in the city this time. I would like to go back at some point though. I'll keep that place in mind!

I guess a lot of places set up something along those lines during the main season for visitors. In Quebec City, they had most of the old cobblestone streets closed off, and I saw a guy juggling.

As far as the full situation goes, Quincy Market doesn’t look like it but this place is going downhill thanks to more chains moving in after locals forced to move out due to rising rents. Kong Dog, Regina Pizzeria and some others have many other locations and should move out of the colonnade so more locals can move in. I miss Kilvert and Forbes Cookies as well as Durgan Park and Ghirardelli’s Ice Cream. Ben and Jerry’s need to move out as well as other national chain ones as we have Downtown crossing, Cambridge side Galleria, and Prudential Center. Faneuil Hall Marketplace should be a unique place with local shops and eateries, not another run-of-the-mill mall.

This is a very good point. I think it would be a great idea if the whole Faneuil Hall Marketplace is comprised of local vendors and eateries. It is always sad to see local places get bought out or replaced by corporations. Having local restaurants and eateries along with shops would help bring money more locally.
