Should have said how much time passed for when the tank pressurized when you kept doing random time lapses

How is this holding up for you? Did you ever find water in the compressor oil? Do you drain the water off the oil often if so?
@protechmachinery12 жыл бұрын
I've really had zero issues. I don't use it every day. I checked water in oil once and found nothing. I drain the air tank daily as designed. No leaks anywhere. Love it.

Sounds like same compressor being sold under several different names.

Phase and motor direction should not be a matter of luck. Phase Sequence and Motor Rotation Meters can be had for about $150. Other than that, enjoy your compressor and don't use PVC.

I need to buy a compressor to replace my old one so i want to upgrade. My problem is this new one has amps I’m not sure that my electric for my old compressor will hold. Any advice? Any is welcome and appreciated. I’m buying from northerntools.com and it’s a Emax industrial plus silent air 10hp 2-stage , 80 gallon vertical air compressor with silencer 230 volt , 1 phase. Model# ESP10V080V1. All it tells in specs is operates at 40Amps, suggests 60amp breaker and it takes 80amps to start. I have at home 8/2 Romex that i was told is good for 45amps. I have 50amp 2 pull breaker and i was told that will be fine the 60amp is just a suggestion. My real worry is this 80amp start up. I’m not a electrician and don’t want to burn down my house or shop.

Hello, Interesting to know, I am in Canada and I am looking for a 35CFM screw air compressor. What is a reliable and affordable option in my location? Thanks for your comment.

@@olivierbronner7449 the Quincy compressor in the vid is also sold by CP. good unit and there are many in Australia if you get one make sure you check every week if there is water in the oil when it is cold. just open the oil drain at bottom of the separator tank and drain the water. why you must do this is. if the compressor runs for short periods of time it will not get hot enough to flash off water and the sump will fill with water. If you don't keep the water out it will rust the bearings and the screws. This will cost more to fix than a new compressor set. also it a good thing to run the unit full load for at least 15min to get it hot and get rid of any water. small screw compressors don't generate a lot of heat this why they fill up with water but if you are going to work it hard it will be OK.

Hi John, thanks for the comments. Have a video or photo of exactly where the oil drain is at the bottom of the separator tank? I empty the main tank and drain water from it every day but I have not checked the oil for water. I do not run it hard or hot so I'm sure this could be a potential issue for me.
@wowiecaps3 жыл бұрын
@@protechmachinery1 Hi. if you remove the front panel you will see at the bottom of the separator tank / oil tank. is an oil drain valve. check this once a week when the unit is cold for water. replace oil if needed. on this unit fill all the way up to the filler neck.
