thank you for sharing your set up. I'm planning to get a Quincy soon but a single stage

Did the compressor build up pressure and turn off while using the sander?
@seabass295videos6 Жыл бұрын
Yes, plenty of CFM
@mustangecoboosthpp3869 Жыл бұрын
Code requires you to have a disconnect box if the compressor is more than 50 feet away from the breaker box or the breaker box is in another location/room.

are you still using the Quincy air compressor and how has it done for you?
@seabass295videos64 ай бұрын
Still use it every day with absolutely no issues. Been working great.

Thanks for the video. I am about to buy the same compressor for my shop. I will use your technique for making the "radiator", but I believe that I will take all of the drops and put them on a common drain line and use an automatic blowdown valve to keep it drained out without having to open and close each drop. Good Video... Subscribed.

AJ Smith sounds like a good plan. Thanks for watching!

If they are on a common drain line, wouldn't the air use that path to bypass the "radiator"?

Do you have a video on how you made the blue silica container with the clear PVC? Thanks!

that copper cooling system was epic. Haven't seen anything else close to that on the tube yet lol. Still on the fence about the compressor though, not sure if it is overkill for my home garage :)

I know your comment is 10 months old but if your still looking into compressor setups, look at using a Hayden oil cooler as an after cooler. I bought the Hayden 1290 ($160.00) on EBay or Amazon and it’s huge but there also is a Hayden 1260 ($130.00) that is a smaller but would still be very effective. I’ve seen that some people are getting very close to ambient temps before the air gets to the tank, which means there would be very little moisture in the air and collecting in the tank. I’m also going to be doing the copper water trap/cooler this guy is doing. I just got my Quincy Qt54 running today and still setting up all the water collecting and cooling system.

Thinking about buying this same compressor. Would it make a difference on the water if you had a single stage? And if it helped you also if you had the filter closer to the tool?
@seabass295videos64 жыл бұрын
Yes the single stage does not create as much friction compressing the air so less moister. And you can add filters to your tools to help keep them dry. Thanks for watching.

Should have a flex line at the compressor tank outlet. And running the air through the cooling tubes before going into the tank would keep moisture out of the tank.

What DA sander did you use with this compressor? Thinking about picking up one of these air compressors for myself
@seabass295videos65 жыл бұрын
Alexander Escarsega I am using a 3M DA sander. It runs at 90psi and about 5-7 cfm. I have never had to stop sanding and wait for air. Thanks

@Seabass295 , what is the part number for the 3M DA you're referring too? I'm considering the Quincy, but was concerned about not having enough CFM for a sander.

On comprsoirs...I was sold..on there units..quite running as well..with a magnetic starter ..not an option..but standard..on there units..all American iron ..

Why not just buy a refridgerated air dryer that runs on 110 volt for $1,000 instaed of that elaborate coppoer pipr system which looks cool but I do not beleive it brings down the temperature much as there are no cooling fins on the tubing? Thank for produceing the video . Nice shop!

Nice but why not the 80 gallon instead of the weaker 60 its your dime though so whatever
@tomekpawowski26923 жыл бұрын
It's unefficent to press the compressor to such high values and then reduce it by regulator its energy wast plus more tear on the pomp. The devices have different air absorbsion to so the regulator setup should be modified on fly there fore I will recommend to set compressor to 145 psi max and 115 at start with no regulator
@halfstep672 жыл бұрын
I have the QT-54 as well. It is a well built compressor and does a great job. I put a magnetic motor starter on mine which makes it easier on the pressure switch.
