Now that the coin shortage is, Kevin and I were able to pick up a box of quarters and do a coin roll hunting competition where we look for rare, interesting, and valuable coins. Whoever finds the most wins! This is our first coin roll hunting competition with quarters and we are excited to see what there is to find! We are looking for silver, rare varieties, foreign coins, and of course, the elusive West Point minted 2019 and 2020 quarters. Stay tuned to see what we find!

Hello I'm new to the rare coin hunt. Your video was the first one I came across and I just wanted to say thank you for all of the help you have given I watch other ones as well but I actually started looking for rare and new coin errors because of your channel and I have came across a few of my coins that where given to me by my loved ones I have a few buffalo nickels and a few wheat pennies I have learned a lot from you and the coin place mats you use. FYI. The red color is a “waitress quarter “ They would mark some quarters with nail polish. The waitress would get the place jumpin with music by using them, hoping that would liven up the place and the patrons would keep it going with their own money. At the end of the day the marked quarters were divided back up for tomorrow.

The portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is indeed the obverse. Canadian coins typically have the date on the reverse rather than the obverse.

Obverse is the head side, reverse is the design. That should be standard for all coins, no matter what country of origin is.

I have come across a 2015 really messed up coin. It looks like the coin was hit too hard with the die. The edges are raised up and the striations are almost nonexistent. The entire circumference is grooved like a V. The lettering on the back runs up on the raised edge. Can you look at a pic for me and advise?

Just a Canadian fact here, a little late. But the 2006-2008 Canadian quarters will have those rounded edges, I remember because the cost the Vending machine companies thousands of dollars here having to recalibrate their machines. Yikes

I have 2 quarters with completely filled mint marks, 1 quarter with 2 separate and distinct mint marks A and P one on top of the other and not over stamped; and 1 quarter that looks like it has a ghost mint mark that was not completely punched or was removed???
