How To Photograph A Total Solar Eclipse

I used a 360 camera and a GoPro the entire time in 2017 and did not experience any damage so hard to say but be careful. I am going to take the risk with a wide in April with no filter.

if you want to take a picture with your camera phone you can use the reflection off your windshield. the phone just needs something close or it will never focus

Could you use solar lens filter sheet for visual viewing? I wear eyeglasses and don’t like those flimsy cardboard eclipse glasses, and would rather adapt my regular spare eyeglasses, by covering them with a Thousand Oaks solar camera filter.

Thanks for this great video on photographing the Total Eclipse next week. I do plan to try to take a Total Eclipse Selfie on April 8th. What are your recommendations for taking a Total Eclipse Selfie?

Make sure to check the change in the path of the eclipse. For NY area it changed for parts of the finger lakes and surrounding area. I am heading to Rochester. Thanks for providing your knowledge. Much appreciated.
