Just wanted to thank you guys for filming these videos. I am from Quispamsis/SJ and miss it terribly. Your videos go through roads and places I passed daily. It is so comforting. You even drove by my parents and grandparents houses. I needed this and appreciated it more than you know!

Wow, thank you so much for your comments. It's a very difficult time we're living in. We too have not been able to get home to BC to see family an friends so I can relate to what you're saying. Your words make doing these videos worthwhile.

This is a very nice video of the Quispamsis area that shows Kennebecasis River. I actually lived most of my childhood in Quispamsis in the Hammond River Area many years ago. Quispamsis was more like the country when my parents built their house back in the early 1970’s. The area is so much different now compared to it when I was a kid. One great feature of buying a house in Quispamsis is that the homes actually have decent size yards and space between each house. I live in the heart of Edmonton and the houses are so close together and the lots are very small. If I do move back to NB, I would prefer to live in Saint John because in the city you are closer to everything you need such as stores and the scenery is definitely more interesting and has lots of character. Thanks for doing this video! I am hoping NB will open the boarders soon so I can come for a visit.

I agree completely. Quispamsis is a nice town but it does nothing for me personally, maybe because we don't have kids. Saint John just offers so much more, it feels like a small version of a big city. There is some talk that the border may reopen on the summer, fingers crossed.

Thanks for the videos you are doing. My Wife(who is from Saint John) and I are moving down to the Saint John area and the Q is where we are currently looking for a house to buy. While we visit Saint John at least once a year to visit her brother we have not travelled outside of Saint John so to see the area we are looking at is really cool. Thank You both and c'mon retirement. lol

Congratulations on making the decision to retire to the Saint John area. We visited for the first time in 2016, then moved here in 2018 to semi-retire from the suburbs of Vancouver, and we have not looked back. We love this area. We will be doing more videos, including some of the places we have already done, as the Spring progresses, so stay tuned.

Hello ! I am French and I live in Paris. At the end of June, I will immigrate with my wife and my daughter (10 year old) to Saint John. I wanted to thank you for your videos because it's really great to walk around with you and discover the region. It helps us a lot. We are very excited to come and we hope that Saint John will be a great new adventure... And if you know anyone who rents a furnished house, we'll be interested. Thanks again. Take care !

Welcome! A lot of viewers have commented that they are immigrating from various parts of the world that I have never been to. However, I have been to Paris twice and I am in love with your city. Saint John will be an adjustment, it is tiny compared to Paris, but I guess with that comes more open spaces. I love that there are so many people with diverse cultural backgrounds coming to live in our little paradise. For homes to rent, I would suggest looking at kijiji.ca or even airbnb. It shouldn't be too hard to find a furnished home. Thank you for watching and for choosing Saint John for your next adventure.

@@WeLoveSaintJohn Hello. Thank you for your comment. In your opinion, where is the best place to live in Saint John or... in which part of town ? Thank you for your advice
@WeLoveSaintJohn3 жыл бұрын
@@lionelmichaud75 That really depends on what is important to you. If you like to walk everywhere or have more of a European feel then uptown is the best choice. If being near shopping is most important the east side might be best. We like to be near the ocean so we live on the west side, south of the main highway. A lot of people like Millidgeville which is close to the university, hospital and river. We have done videos of most areas which may provide a better idea of the differences between them.

From where you are , at the 24 minute mark, you are only a 15 to 20 minute walk from 6 of 7 restaurants and 4 or 5 fast-food/pizza places, a pharmacy, a grocery store, a Canadian tire, several salons and spas. Also there are several artists/potters (with studios) in the area.....

Thanks, that's good information for viewers.

you mention how pretty it is in NB, it used to be called the Picture Provence, on our license plates.

As an outsider, it always seemed to us like New Brunswick was a bit of a maritime afterthought. There was never any defining marketing like we would see from PEI and Nova Scotia. After living here for three years, I see all three provinces being very beautiful yet very different, and in my opinion, New Brunswick has the most to offer.

Someone backed off of that ferry last year into the icy water. She thought it wasn't moving and threw it in reverse not knowing that it had left it's landing.

Btw, your filming with an iphone? Also, how important the french is in NB? Thank you!
@WeLoveSaintJohn3 жыл бұрын
It depends where you live. French is not spoken much at all in Saint John, Moncton is about half French speaking, and in the northern parts of the province it's pretty much all French. I don't speak any French for what that's worth.
@altay4room3 жыл бұрын
@@WeLoveSaintJohn does speaking French tho provide any benefits?
@WeLoveSaintJohn3 жыл бұрын
@@altay4room I think it could help for immigration purposes though I'm no expert. It would be a huge benefit for getting a job, especially a good paying government job.
@Protege20013 жыл бұрын
If you are looking for a provincial government or civil service job, French is very important, but for the most part southern NB is English speaking.
