Thank you so much for the update! Getting a new bumper seemed like the right call, too much work to get the original looking OK.

Nice! you have got a lot done on it. There are a ton of bolts on those bumpers, it took me forever when I put a "Stalker" bumper on mine from a Stalker wide body kit. If you don't care about top speed, throw some 3.73 gears in the rear (stock is 3.04). It feels like you added 100hp. They were a little expensive because the only cars that use those gears are a Corvettes and Vipers. It was about $600 for gears and new Posi +bearings and $400 (18yrs. ago) for a shop to set it up but it makes a huge difference and still does about 130mph.

It took me so long. But also, they guy that sold me the bumper was a wrecking yard, and they didn’t remove it nice and damaged some thing that I spent a good amount of time on repairing. I might look into the rear end. After I get it painted though I’m shooting to get my other car done. And then when i hit that point I’ll come back to this car and do something with the engine. Swap, build or something. I want this car to hit 400 hp. And then race it in the local scca circuit.

If you decide not to repair the convertable bumper, I have an 86 vette front bumper with no damage. You can have it but I live in the tricities Wa.
