Trini Here! Our snacks have levels. Idk who send u that combination of snacks but they wicked. U mostly tried preservatives and more traditional snacks which can vary by the brand. Me personally I do not like Chop Sticks preservatives but there are other brands which make the same preservatives but I like their recipe much more. U could probably do another video with the sunshine snacks or holiday snacks or even some from bermudez

The black mango is a Trinidadian version of Chinese preserved fruit. I have never tried black mango but grew up eating "red mango" which was a Afro-Creole twist on the Chinese preserved mango. The red mango I ate as a child was not spicy since there are non spicy versions. The package is simple because the snacks were originally home made and sold at the parlor which was adjoining a home.

I’m an actual Trini and them salt mangoes does go down good but it’s too salty and sour to eat a lot of. Also the majority of the snacks that you’ll had in the clear packaging really depends on the brand because that chop sticks brand don’t taste good at all. But everybody have their preferences. This was a really funny video and you’ll should most definitely come for Carnival 🇹🇹.

I wonder how many Caribbean islands you have actually been to or how many Caribbean persons you actually interact with regularly to actually come to such a conclusion? I suspect very little on both accounts because you would not have arrived at that conclusion if you had a wide cross section of Caribbean people to interact with and if you had visited a wide cross section of Caribbean islands yourself. Like it or not we are one people and far too long based on our colonial past and other factors stemming out of the trauma of slavery and colonialism we have been groomed to focus on the minor differences to feel as though one group/island/people is superior to the other. Let's try to eliminate that kind of negativity that is counterproductive to the progress of our people and our region by speaking love and unity. Peace & love to you my sister. 🙏❤

The "green thing" may be the inner "skin" of the mango seed. The inside of the seed has a transparent film which may absorb the "coloring" differently from the fleshy fruit.
