I'm in my mid 30s, have a good paying halftime job, but had this kind of feelings for years now. Canceled my rental apartment, will be 'homeless' in about 1.5 months. I'm a software dev, also working as a freelancer with good customers, some since 10 years and longer. Basically i will save a lot of money, even if i quit my halftime job, which i plan to do in january / february. after that, i'll just travel and work freelance. I don't know if it will be the right decision, i'm a little anxious, but i know, i have to change stuff, see something new, reduce stress, otherwise i'll only get way more unhappy.

Wow! I acidentally stumbled upon this video. This is exactly what i'm feeling at this period. I've been an enterpreneur and a business owner for 17 years with quite a descent income. But once I felt so exhausted and decided to change my life completely. I sold out my cafes, travelled to Thai and loved this feeling of freedom. I decided to pass data-analyst courses to start my online job path, but still not sure it's my cup of tea. Well I actualy did it, i finished my courses (just graduated 3 days ago ), but i can't imagine myself working - 5-9 Monday through Friday, waiting for a weekend. I've never done this before ) So, I want to thank you for this sincere video. It made me think about whether i'd made the right choice by picking up that data-analyst course. I also am stuck to my 9-5 job and want freedom and travel the world even if I am alone. My bf of 6 yrs is now leaving me to migrate to Canada (We live here in the Philippines) and no plans of taking me with him, I am so devastated and do not know what to do, then I stumbled on your YT vid searching for something to change my life. Hopefully I can get a freelancer job as data analyst as part time first after I save money and finish all my obligations and then finally get my freedom and travel the world while working as Data analyst. Hey Stefanovic, I saw your story, and it's almost the same as mine. I was also born in a different country, but at age 10 my parents moved to Norway. When I was a kid, it was all fun and game. We played football all day long, and on rainy days it was video games. One thing that I remember very well is that we gather together and played HALO multiplayer… was sick dope. But as we got older, and I did all the "right" stuff with getting education and get a job, mortgage, house, paid all debt and started saving in global index fund. I realized that this rat race trap life is not for me. So 2 yers ago I just quitted it for nothing and never been more happy that I am now. But still looking for my purpose in life. It was really refreshing to hear that someone else had gone through similar phases. I studied Industrial Engineering at one of the top college's in my country and landed a job at Ford which pays well even though its an entry level position. However i hate the idea of being a standart white-collar employer like my parents expect me to. I totally agree with making a move is hard when youre in an 'okay' position part, however i don't think i can stand it for long. Climbing the corporate ladders doesn't motivate me in the slightest. I am currently stuck at how i could proceed from now on and how i could find my own business idea, though i have some of them. Anyways, thank you for sharing your experience, i wish the best for everyone with similar journey ❤

Last time I watched your content I was in a moment in my life that I didn't want to be in, working in a grocery store and dreaming about freedom. Now I have a remote job earning a decent salary and in the process of getting rid of my stuff and apartment to go digital nomading. A lifestyle that has been in my mind every single day since I first heard about it in 2016. What a fkin long time it took! lol. What a difference in feeling watching your content in these 2 very different phases of my life. Feeling I'm in the "done it" part already. The worst is behind and the best is definitely ahead. A tip for everybody: Choose the "alternative" -lifestyle route, whatever it might be for you, even if there is no-one in your social circle/family doing the same.
