Nice to see some honesty rather than a load of phaff that most of the trade spout out! 👍

I have a Daiwa Airity 10 11 feeder rod and also a Guru N guage feeder rod. All tips are interchangeable and will fit both rods and clearly the price for the Megatop quivers is out of proportion but the quality is so so much better.Only by bending them you can tell is a very different carbon and a way better action

It'd be very interesting to have a look on a rod(say some of Daiwa tournaments) band with all those tips, just to see how the load get distributed.

UPD: A few day ago I got a Guru A-class 11' rod in my hands, and I agree with Alan, that the action and guides of the A-Class tips is identical to my Tournament one. However the build quality is very different, the guides on A-Class tips were not spine aligned at all, by simply banding the tip the eyes were looking at 90' angle to the left from spine band - which increases the risk of breakage significantly. So I had to re-wrap them. Anyway at the end of the day, the total cost of epoxy and threads + some hand work allowed me to buy 3 extra tips instead of a single Daiwa one

Take up golf. Only joking mate…. I was struggling, there’s many factors. Are you using a shock leader? Sometimes the knot can get caught in the guides or your line might be wrapping over the tip as you cast. Happens a lot if it’s windy too. It’s good to just spend some time practicing. Hope that helps 👍

had to give up golf (arthritis in back) was never very good at that either lol. @@Andyfishing23

Often broken tips are cause by slack line on the cast. Its worth taking some time to check that when you cast you push the feeder out in one motion, and that slack line isnt formed which might be the cause of your problem.

Alan for the put over tips I buy the cheap fibreglass Drennan and ask my local tackle shop for the spare bits of carbon they have after chopping back peoples top kits before elasticating them. I then cut the Drennan tip till it’s a tight fit in the 2” carbon insert, glue it in and then whip it for more strength. IMO these are much better than the carbon Tri-Cast which seem to break easily on the slightest wrap over. If you are wanting the tips for the put in carrier section then I would take it to my local shop and see which ones fit or are a close match and with a bit of fine sanding using wet and dry paper you will get them to fit eventually. Hope this helps.

Of course tips are a huge rip-off. But if you don’t like that maybe you shouldn’t buy the rod in the first place…. Apart from that it’s not the brand but the action of the tip that makes a difference or not.
