Thanks for your lessons, i am Arabic stayed in Malaysia for several years, , i memorize a lot of vocabulary, yet i can not talk nicely, the reason i don't have link to speak regularly with the local, so the only way for me to learn is to study online, i watched 80% of your lessons, it is very useful to understand the Malay vocabulary and conversation but as the standard language, even i mastered all of your lessons i still need to speak the street language, which have many omitted letters also they using vocabularies which is not used in the standard language, i have planned to watch KZbin shorts with malay subtitles, it's very useful for sowhoever want to know the slang language, my suggestion for you to chose one video of the slang language, preferable to be for the cambung people then you highlight the omitted or removed words or repeat it once in the normal speech then in slow motion, then every time one video like that until you think you cover all of the conversation which is used by the village people, i know it is hard but you can do it💪💪💪

Thank you for learning Malay. What a good tip! That's true. Learning formal Malay is unlike speaking the spoken Malay. Spoken Malay is different and it is better that you choose to learn spoken Malay first if you need to speak it. If you learn Malay for writing formal Malay letters for the government or news, it is better that you learn formal Malay from the get go.
