@@Keapix I don't know if it's more like one of the 1.3 traits I have from moonstone, but I also don't like anything baggy at the waist. I have to have things be somewhat fitted (without being unflatteringly so) there. I feel frumpy and fat in more shapeless things. Are you like that at all?

I'm definitely Left. I immediately looked at Amethyst since I love purple & amethyst is my birth stone. It really fit but so does Ruby. I think I compromise with special occasion/costume/fantasy elements by saving them for Halloween, Ren & Fantasy Fairs, Theme Parties & going to the Theatre (my everyday life is being home ) And I always have to feel physically comfortable (sensory issues, nickel allergies, mobility issues) so certain types of garments & accessories are an automatic no even if I like how they look. Nothing too fussy or high maintenence that needs constant adjusting, nothing too tight or restrictive, nothing that makes me too hot, etc. I have always gotten attention (both good & bad) for my clothing choices & it doesn't really bother me at this point in my life, I actually kind of expect it to some degree. Even if wearing jeans & a tee/tank, I would find a way to make it "more" lol or feel very blah. Statement jackets, kimonos, light layers & statement shoes are how I style basics. I also love vintage inspired pieces & silhouettes. Lace, sheer chiffon, crochet, embroidery, jaquard fabrics. I prefer darker colors Black, brown, dark green, russet, burgundy, purple (love velvet) but also really like soft white & light blue in gauzy cotton (more a summer palette it's very hot where I live) So yeah, Left feels right but both Up & Down fit to differing degrees.

So in my first go with the Style Key I was between Ruby and Moonstone but decided I was a Ruby, I related to a lot of it and it was really helpful and gave me a lot of permission to explore sexier styles specifically. But I always sort of struggled with the actual logic, it didn't fully land and it never seemed to get easier which I just figured was me doing something wrong or having a hard time connecting to myself. But then recently getting to know myself better and exploring the keys again thanks to this video I think that I'm a Moonstone. I've gone back through and devoured all the Moonstone information and the logic and challenges really are on point. All the deeper elements (essence, logic, medicine, struggles) land for me 100% but I am really struggling with the aesthetic. It always feels too neat and I really do not relate to being refined or having this clean, sort of highly organized style. That has been one of those painful and boring restrictive boxes for me in the past and letting myself get messy, imperfect and enjoy more lived in and rougher styles like ripped jeans and faded relaxed fits feels so much more comfortable for me. The way the Ruby shows up aesthetically is much more my vibe but I don't think it fits very well energetically for me. Any other Moonstones who feel more rough and free in their aesthetics? Is the refined, neat aspect of the Moonstone aesthetic essential or just typical? Any ideas on how to work with this?

If you've been feeling happy while working with Moonstone logic and you feel it gives you the results you hope for, I wouldn't put that much weight on the aesthetics associated with it. As long as that key serves you and helps you to have a clearer vision of your style you will be using the system just fine for isntance, I am a Ruby that sits pretty close to moonstone so sometimes my outfits could be "softer" and way less elemental or random than other Rubies, but at the end of the day is the logic that helps me the most. Aesthetics are often just a natural consequence of the logic, they're not deterministic :)

This helped me confirm my key! I was already leaning towards Moonstone over Ruby, but after exploring a little more and listening to the videos, more and more it feels clear than I'm RD who may borrow from and relate somewhat to Ruby (and the other Up essences to some extent.) This has been my problem from the get go, is that I seem to be able to identify significantly with all of them. I have nearly 4 or more checkmarks in all categories. I wonder if this in and of itself speaks to the quadrant I fit?

Great great question ❤️ I don't think counting up the answers in each category helps because it's just human nature to relate to multiples plus there are obvious repeats (representing the "left" in both Ruby and Amethyst). It might mean your essence is kind of close to the center but it might also mean that you're just not really sure about your ideal style process or what style means to you. If you want to work with the system I would recommend choosing the one key that appeals the most to you and using it - even if you don't end up using it *forever* you will still get something out of it

I "scored" 7.5 for Left Up and 9 for Right Up, 0 for the others. I suppose that would place me in the Power archetype, which is the one I suspected I belonged to 😁

think of it this way. people who dress in “sexy” revealing clothes and people who dress in only athleisure and people who dress in really baggy oversized casual clothes often all do so for the same reason… how the outfit physically feels on their body and how it makes them feel inside (emotionally).

I love listening to the different types and thinking of people I know and where they land on the map. It helps me place myself since I can recognize certain strong similarities in their and my styles. I remember you did a past video using these types with an (x,y) graph; that helped me a lot, as my plot point shifts around mood to mood, day to day, but always within the same region.

If you want to use the system, I would pick the key you think is the most appealing / whst you wish you were and watch the 20 minute essence video for that one and go from there. Also though some people just don't vibe with the system, they feel that their essence doesn't really land anywhere obvious on either of the dimensions...

@@ConstantiaVerted I'm still in shock😂 I guess it all comes down to the logic. I placed myself in the ruby key because the aesthetics I go for are considered 'LD'. But now when I think about it, when choosing what to buy or wear I go with the sapphire approach. Idk, am I making sense?😂

@@Nicole-wd8yg I get what you mean, but I think the logic is there to help people improve rather than show where you start out from (your essence), if you see what I mean. It could be that if you are a LD you automatically think about the occasion you're going to be at and what you want to achieve, in a way that some sapphires need to consciously make a point of remembering that. But as Rita says, there are only four essences so it's not a disaster if we have to try another one :)

I realized, that i have such a big sentimental approach to clothes 😅. And i most like the aesthetic i already wore when i was at school 😂. I had my childhood in the 80s and teenage years in the 90s and i still like this Dirty Dancing pink dress and the Beverly Hills 90210 aesthetic. That still feels like home ❤. I guess i am a Moonstone then. I tried to use the other Style Keys, but then i lost the connection to my authentic self somehow. Too many things came across who i am. I really feel grounded in myself when i wear some things that have a sentimental meaning for me or that i am used to wear. Trends aren't important for me and i really don't care if i look cool enough in the eyes of someone else. Thanks to Rita i don't restrict myself to any colour season anymore. The one thing i almost forbid myself was the use of the wrong colours, BUT "MY" colours never felt right for me, distracted me from myself and weren't the colours i wore when i was young, when i just chosed colours intuitiv! Now everything feels right again. My soul feels mirrored again. Colours can really make a difference.

Color is so mysterious and magical in its properties. For a while I didn't wear gold because I know I am super blue/cool toned... Then I realized I love gold and I really vibe with it energetically. It has been so freeing to give myself permission and enjoy the color without the "rules"

I am also cool toned person and now i wear my beloved deep orange 😄! It fits so much better to my vibe than dusty pink. Somehow there is this connection between the orange and me 😅. And i can really imagine gold for you, for your sparkling vibe it's perfect 😊.

Sorry, it's not help. Mostly, I have it all. I've been working on this for hours and I understand that: I like to create an atmosphere in the image, I don't like chaos, but comfort sensual and feelings are important to me (I can wear my favorite comfortable sneakers to holes, I can't bare my shoulders because I'm uncomfortable and I like certain types of fabrics). I don't want to be very different from others and I want to fit into my society. I want to be myself in clothes, but at the same time in a bright whole image that says something about me. And for me, the ideal style is when I don't even think about clothes while wearing them. I feel beautiful, I feel good in my body, and my clothes feel like a natural extension of myself. And what is the Key then?
