Back then, with all the anti-drug PSAs in the 80’s and 90’s, they made us think that any form of smoking is bad. But now, people’s opinion on it is way more lenient. Nowadays, the mentality is “I don’t care that you smoke. I care about what you smoke.”

I've switched to vaping a year ago. It's still not good for me but it's a step in the right direction. I know one thing, I can mix 1000mg CBD vape juice into the salt nic and relax even more and maybe switch to straight CBD eventually.

This episode hits close to home. My dad smoked 4 packs a day before "quitting" and being such a nicotine fiend he picked up chewing like it was bubblegum and swallowed his spit. I never saw him without a dip. Stepmom was quite the chainsmoker herself. Me and my brother smoking as kids? Absofkinglutely not. We completely quit smoking in our 20s though.

I remember when I did it for the first time, I was disgusted by the taste so I never did it again. DARE was full of shit when they said 1 puff was all it took. And when I talked to a friend who did smoke, we probably had the weirdest talk about it. He told me how you get used to the taste and if you just keep smoking, you'll like it, just like drinking. So I retort "That sounds like getting a job! If I hated it the first time, why the fuck would I keep doing it!?"

I idea of punishing your kids by making them do something until they get sick of it, never works. Especially if it involves drugs or alcohol. All you’re doing is getting them addicted to it. They may be sick of it now, but afterwards they are just going to want more or it later on. The same thing could be said about letting your kids eat nothing but candy and ice cream. They’ll get sick of it, eventually. But they’ll just want more later on. It’s just a bad parenting tactic, all around.

Vaping's only worse when you continue puffing on a burnt out coil or using weird flavor additives that were never shown to be safe when inhaled. There's a laundry list of reasons it's less harmful than inhaling tobacco smoke that I won't list here, but I felt the need to point out those common misconceptions. I'd still be smoking around half pack to a pack per day. Now I'm down to 2mL or less of vape juice and actually at the point where I feel I could quit. Failed kicking cigarettes 3 times before the vape. It's substantially cheaper after the initial investment, even with heavy use, and I don't worry about my habit causing cancer anymore either. I don't mind when people talk crap about vaping or when they lump it together with smoking in general, but the statement that it's worse than cigarettes? That needs an asterisk next to it and a lengthy description about how it only applies to a small number of special cases.
