Thanks. I have just watched a “how to play” and this is the first gameplay I am watching. I thought I had misunderstood a rule when he didn’t make the move.

White gave up a lot of chances. Remember, there always has to be one path so you can force yourself through a space by forcing the opponent to make an illegal move (of which he wont/cant do).

So many things. First off you can easily make each game 2 min. It isn't hard with the simple rules. Just basically square your opponent off so they have to take the path of most steps. Like that big sqair in the middle, if you would have placed the wall on the upper right instead of bottom left, he would not have been able to do alot sense now he would have had to backtrack alot more. 10-13 steps more in total. Then instead of leaving the least side open, cage it off so the opponent should be forced to start playing more on the right side. It's an easy block manuver and I highly suggest you lean it so games aren't 5+ min long
