Kindness to animals : One of Prophet Muhammad’s companions narrates, “We were on a journey and during the Prophet’s absence, we saw a bird with its two chicks; we took them. The mother bird was circling above us in the air, beating its wings in grief. When Prophet Muhammad returned he said, “Who has hurt the feelings of this bird by taking its chicks? Return them to her.” The prophet peace be upon him said : “God has ordained kindness (and excellence) in everything. If the killing (of animals) is to be done, do it in the best manner, and when you slaughter, do it in the best manner by first sharpening the knife, and putting the animal at ease.” If the Prophet saw, any animal over-burdened or ill fed he would speak mildly to the owner and say, “Fear God in your treatment of animals.”

About the depth of the darkness: it's referring to three depths precisely; the darkness of the night+ the darkness of the ocean + the darkness of the whale's belly. Idriss peace upon him is a prophet. God bless you all :)

The Quran is applicable for all times and places. This is because Islam the rules of Islam ( Shariah ) treat your instincts and organic needs which do not change for Man with the progress of time and changes in environment. And since these rules are from your Creator, it produces a comprehensive way of life that is balanced. Even if one is being tested by Allah wether in ease or hardship, as long as you have the answer to where you came from, where you're going, and what is your purpose here, you will be tranquil even if everything all around you is messed up.
@MilahanPhilosophersCorner
@MilahanPhilosophersCorner 4 жыл бұрын
Good points.
@mnaseersdca
@mnaseersdca 4 жыл бұрын
@@MilahanPhilosophersCorner I forgot to add that the 'balance' which I mentioned earlier can only be defined by Allah and not our mind because as Allah tells us in the Quran that you may think something is good for you but is in fact bad for you, and you may think that something is bad for you but is in fact good for you, you know not, only I know.
@mnaseersdca
@mnaseersdca 4 жыл бұрын
This is the case because man's understanding of the organisation of his instincts and organic needs is liable to disparity, differences, contradiction and is influenced by the environment in which he lives. Thus if this organisation was left to man, the system would be liable to disparity, differences and contradiction and would lead to man's misery. Therefore, this system must come from Allah. If this satisfaction were left without a system it would lead to an erroneous and abnormal fulfilment and thus result in man's misery.

The Scholars of Islam forbid birth control if there is no need to , so if the Woman is healthy and she doesn't have a problem raising more kids, and her husband can take care of the family with more kids without problem . she should not control the birth and every child she raise in a good way according to Islam is a way to paradise specially girls. the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "Anyone who has three daughters and provides for them, clothes them and shows mercy to them will definitely enter the Garden." A man from the people said, "And two daughters, Messenger of Allah?" He said, "And two." and also Good children in Islam is a way to do good even after Death The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end, except for three: A continuous charity, knowledge by which people derive benefit, pious son who prays for him and not just your children orphans also Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "I will be like this in Jannah with the person who takes care of an orphan". Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) raised his forefinger and middle finger by way of illustration.

Here Allah tells us that on the Day of Resurrection, He will roll up the heavens, despite their vastness, as a written scroll is rolled up. The stars will be scattered, and the sun and moon will be rolled up and moved from their places. {As We originated creation, so We will repeat it}, that is, We will create them anew, as We created them the first time. As we created them initially, when they were nothing, so too We will recreate them after they have died. {a promise binding upon Us. We will indeed fulfill it} and do what We have promised. That is because of His perfect might, for nothing is impossible for Him. -taken from Tafseer As-Sa'di in reference to Surah Al-Anbiya' Ayah #104

"The Day when We will fold the heaven like the folding of a [written] sheet for the records. As We began the first creation, We will repeat it. [That is] a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it." Honestly, It depends how you interpret it, I've always interpreted that as after you're dead coming back is basically recreation, but now that you've mentioned it and I thought about it, I think there's a great connection between that and the verse number 30 from the same Surah: Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe? the arabic word used for "Separated" is فتقناهما which is way stronger than Separated but not sure if there's a better word in English for it :)

He is Allah besides Whom there is no God, the King, the Holy, the Author of peace, the Granter of security, Guardian over all, the Mighty, the Supreme, the Possessor of greatness. Glory be to Allah from that which they set up (as false gods) ! He is Allah, the Creator, the Maker,[5] the Fashioner: His are the most beautiful names. Whatever is in the heavens and the earth declares His glory; and He is the Mighty, the Wise” Quran 59:22-24. Say (O Muhammad), "I am no more than a human like you, and it has been inspired to me that your god is but One God. So whoever longs to meet his Lord shall do good deeds and never associate anyone in the worship of his Lord." Quran18:110 O you messenger, deliver what is brought down to you from your Lord. If you do not, then you have not delivered His message. Quran 5:67 We have sent you (O Messenger) with the truth as a bearer of news and a warner. Quran 2:119 "He has ordained for you the same religion (Islam) which He enjoined on Noah, and that which We have revealed to you, and which We enjoined on Abraham, Moses and Jesus: namely that you should remain steadfast in religion and be not divided therein.” [Quran 42:13] After the corruption of the older Scriptures, the Quran came with a twofold purpose -- to confirm the true and original message of Islam, and to stand as a witness to it, by confirming the truth and rejecting the falsehood, which over time came into the older Scriptures. Muslims are required to believe in the revealed Scriptures and to make no distinction between any of them, or the Messengers who brought them, may Allah exalt their mention, because they all come from the One True God. The Quran says (what means): "Say (O Muhammad to the Jews and Christians): 'We believe in Allah and that which has been sent to us and that which has been sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob and to Al-Asbat, (the offspring of the twelve sons of Jacob) and that which has been given to Moses and Jesus, and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted (in Islam).” [Quran 2:136] Say, "O people, the truth has come to you from your Lord. Whoever is guided is guided for himself and whoever goes astray does so to his own detriment. I am not a trustee over you."Quran 10:108 If they turn away, your sole mission is the delivery (of the message). God is Seer of the people. Quran 3:20 Say, 'It is the truth from your Lord', then whoever wills shall believe and whoever wills shall disbelieve. Quran18:29 “And had your Lord willed, those on earth would have believed, all of them together. So, will you (O Muhammad) then compel mankind, until they become believers?” Quran 10:99 “And the duty of the Messenger is only to convey (the Message) plainly.” Quran 29:18 "This Book (The Quran) there is no doubt in it, is a guide to those who keep their duty, who believe in the Unseen and keep up prayer and spend (charitably) out of what We have given them, and who believe in that which has been revealed to thee (O Muhammad) and that which was revealed before thee, and of the Hereafter they are sure” Quran 2:2-4. "Blessed is God Who sent down theFurqan (the Quran) upon His servant that he may be a warner to all the nations” (25:1) “Say : O mankind, surely I (Muhammad)the Messenger of God to you all” Quran7:158 Say (O Muhammad), "What thing is the greatest testimony?" Say, "God is Witness between me and you that this Quran has been revealed to me to warn you with it and whomever it reaches. Do you bear witness that there are other gods besides God?" Say, "I do not bear witness". Say, "He is but One God and I am innocent of the shirk which you commit. 6:19 “There is no compulsion in religion. Verily, the Right Path has become distinct from the wrong path. Whoever disbelieves in taghoot (false gods) and believes in Allah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break.” Quran 2:256 Verily, proofs have come to you from your Lord, so whosoever sees, will do so for (the good of) his ownself, and whosoever blinds himself, will do so to his own harm, and I (Muhammad) am not a watcher over you.”Quran 6:104 “Whosoever does righteous good deeds, it is for (the benefit of) his ownself; and whosoever does evil, it is against his ownself. And your Lord is not at all unjust to (His) slaves.” Quran 41:46 Verily, this (Verses of the Quran) is an admonition, so whosoever wills, let him take a Path to his Lord (Allah).” Quran76:29 "This day have I (God) perfected for you your religion and completed My favour to you and chosen for you Islam as a religion” Quran 5:3. They want to extinguish God's [guiding] light with their utterances: but God will not allow [this to pass], for He has willed to spread His light in all its fullness, however hateful this may be to all who deny the truth. *On the Day We will Roll up the sky like the rolling up of the scroll for writing. Just as We Began the first creation, We will Repeat it, being a Promise upon Us. We will certainly be Doing it! [21:104]* Salman Al-Farsy, from Amir-Al-Momineen (Ali ibn Abi Talib) in a Hadeeth of his with a Catholic, among a hundred Christian men. Among what the Catholic asked him was, ‘If the skies are rolled up, and the earth is Gripped, where would the Paradise and the Fire be within these two?’ He (Salman Al-Farsyra) said, ‘So he (Ali ibn Abi Talib) called for some ink and a piece of paper, then wrote in it: ‘The Paradise and the Fire’. Then he rolled up the paper and handed it over to the Christian and said: ‘Has this paper not been rolled up?’ He said, ‘Yes’. He said: ‘Open it!’ So he opened it. He said: ‘Do you see the word ‘The Paradise’, and the word ‘The Fire’. Are these two rolled up into the paper?’ He said, ‘No’. He said: ‘So this is how it is in the Power of Allah when He Rolls up the skies and Grips the earth, it does not invalidate the (existence of) the Paradise and the Fire, just as the (rolling of the) paper did not invalidate the word ‘The Paradise’, and the word ‘The Fire’. @@MilahanPhilosophersCorner Yeah it would be an interesting history but we can still predict the history of these tattooing as all cultures and communities are linked with some kind of signs or symbols to denote their worshipping idols or symbolism of ritual practices , in Islam there is no such thing as signs or symbols . And there are some interesting stories behind the idolitory ,the beginning of shirk ,it is started after the prphecy of idrees pbuh (Enoch).

Although there are narrations on tattooing that affect the ghusl majority says it won't affect the purification process but there various narrations says it is itself impure , after all it is prohibited in Islam and it is narrated that it is not mandatory to remove the tattoos for the converts!

With regards to Ayah 104, and the "new creation" : The word, Nu'eeduh, means to make something return, also to repeat something. I've always understood it as, "just as We created the heavens by seperati g and unravelling it, it will be wrapped up as it was at the beginning of creation, we will *return* it". But the translation you are reading inclines more towards the understanding that just as we created everything the first time, We will *repeat* it, as in create everything anew. Both meanings are correct.

Now comes the other question: Why should we suffer on account of the folly of others? We are not lifeless models; we are human beings. We have got feelings. Why should our feelings be injured just because somebody else is failing in his duties? Likewise, one may ask: "Why should we be inflicted with injuries or loss of life or property, or with sorrows and gloom, in the‑course of what is loosely termed as 'act of God' like flood, earthquake, storms and cyclones?" All these questions would have been of relevance if the death in this world would have been the end of life, if there had been no Day of judgement. But, at present, the position is as follows: No matter how great our sufferings, they are not everlasting. We have a sure knowledge that sooner or later, all this trouble will come to an end because our stay in this world will be terminated one day and we will be transferred to another everlasting world. And as soon as we are transferred from this world, our anxiety and trouble will end provided we have prepared ourselves for it. According to our belief, God rewards man for his sufferings, whether he be a Muslim or a non‑Mu‑slim. 1 Those persons who have committed sins get reward of sufferings in the form of remission of the punishment in the life hereafter. And those who did not commit any sin, like Prophets and Imams, and still suffered most of all, will be rewarded by higher and greater prestige and honor : in the presence of Allah. Thus according to the Shi'i, a point of view, sufferings of this world ultimately serve to cleanse the man from sins, and to bring him nearer to Allah in the hereafter. D. Sufferings as Warning or Punishment It should be mentioned here that sometimes suffering and disaster is used not as a test, but as a warning to sinners or a punishment for transgressors. Examples of such warnings may be found in the. traditions of the Prophet such as the following: "When Allah is displeased with a people [and yet does not want to wipe them out completely], the prices go up and up, life‑span becomes shortened, trade brings no profit and the land bears less fruits." The Prophet also explained that adultery, when practised openly, increases the accidental and sudden death, brings such plagues and diseases which had never been heard of before. When people resort to cheating in weight and measure, warning comes in form of famine, underemployment, and tyrants. When rich people withhold zakat, poverty strikes the community. Imam 'Ali bin Abi Talib said, "If all liable persons paid their zakat, there would not be a needy person in the community." These are but a few examples of how God gives us warning so that we may amend our ways. 2 And examples of sufferings as punishment may be found in the stories of Pharaoh (Fir'awn), Nimrod (Namrud), people of Prophets Lot (Lut), Shu'ayb, Noah (Nuh) and Salih. It will not be out of place to mention here that the outright destruction (like that of the people of Lot, Pharaoh and Nimrod) has been removed from the Muslim ummah as a respect to the Holy Prophet who was "a mercy to the universe." But the suffering to warn the transgressors continues. However, one should always remember that God, in His mercy and grace, has hidden the true purpose of a? particular suffering from our eyes. Therefore, we should never say that, for example, a certain person suffering from a chronic disease is a sinner who is undergoing punishment. Why? Because, he may be a good person undergoing a hard test for his virtues. So we should never judge anybody by his apparent affluence or poverty, by his good or bad luck, by his physical strength or weakness, by his fortune or misfortune. We should, instead, concentrate upon our own spiritual and moral upliftment. www.al-islam.org/justice-god-sayyid-saeed-akhtar-rizvi/test-and-suffering

First of all, Congratulations on reverting! Secondly, In order for an easier translation for you to understand and use, I would like to suggest the app "MUSLIM PRO", wherein you can find translations and transliteration in English for the Holy Quran. I personally prefer the English (Sahih International) translation of The Holy Quran. Because I felt, your understanding of the Quran through the translation that you are using might just be alluding you to the actual meaning of interest in the aayah! "Allahumma Barik Laha" - May Allah Almighty bestow prosperity upon you.

Dhul-Nun, refers to the Prophet Jonah, who did not wait for the command of His Lord before leaving his people, and God reminded him by a whale swallowing him, and that is what is being referred to. He is in the depths of darkness, inside the whale, when he cries out, "There is no one worthy of worship but You, you are above any imperfection, I have been among the wrong-doers." It's very interesting how you mentioned darkness like dark under the sea, because that's exactly where he was. And also interesting is where you mentioned darkness where you can't even see your own hand, because God uses those very words in Chapter 24, An-Nur, verse 40. Praise be to God, who brought these words upon your lips. May His peace, mercy and blessings be upon you, sister.

Surat Al Anbiyaa is very unique , Allah the all mighty creator mentioned how he created the universe , see verse 30 , Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing modern science call it big bang. He also mentioned how the universe will come to its end @ 17:30 just like closing a book. everything goes back to its original starting point و الله اعلم

@Bella M Dear Bella, I am aware of the opinion by some scholars. But as far as I am aware, that's a minor opinion. Many scholars still stick to literal interpretation. Frankly, after researching on this I what I learned is that, this opinion might be stretch since there are many explicit hadith that indicate that dajjal, gog and magog has physical form. And there is also problem with the sequence because there are many minor signs to be met before dajjal, gog and magog appears. So I think it's better to stick to the consensus for now. Allah knows best. Assalamu Alaikum.
