I swear by the name of Allah that the Moon is older than the earth and the asteroids that is the moon was originally orbiting the sun at least during the earliest stages of solar system formation (600 Million years) : 1- We learn from Surat Yassine, chapter 36, verse 39 in the Holy Quran what means “We have determined phases for the moon until finally it becomes like an old date-stalk”, which could refer to the moon not only as an object to be used for reckoning of time, but also as an old object in solar system; 2- We learn from Surat Al-Qamar, chapter 54, verse 1 in the Holy Quran what means “The hour has come near and the moon has split in two”, which could refer to the moon as an object getting old which splits in two parts; 3- We learn from Surat Ash-Shams, chapter 91, verse 2 in the Holy Quran what means “And the moon when it follows the sun”, which could refer to the moon as an object that was orbiting the sun. It was argued from using the most powerful and the most accurate method for dating the age of planets, asteroids, and meteorites that in fact the moon is not only older that the earth by 600 Million years, but also it is older that the asteroids by 500 Million years. This finding means that the moon is the oldest object ever found in the solar system except of course the sun, which confirms that the moon was originally orbiting the sun, and which was later captured by the earth. We call this finding a new scientific miracle of the Holy Quran which was revelated from Allah to His prophet Mohammed “peace be upon Him” almost 15 centuries ago. Please, see abstracts of the author K. Rochd in archives of the international Goldschmidt conferences for more details regarding this finding. But Allah knows best.

On the 14th verse of this surat, why is there a meem on top of the noon. I've been pronouncing this as 'bithambihim', when it should be 'bithanbihim'. Obviously the pronunciation of the noon changes when there is a 'ba' after it. Would be great if some learned brothers or sisters could respond and let me know what the 'meem' on top of the 'noon' does. JazakumAllahu Khairan!
