DUA AFTER AZAN
Arabic Transliteration Translation
اللهم رب هذه الدعوة التامة والصلاة القائمة
Allahumma rabba hadhi-hid da'wa-tit-tamma wa-salati Qae-ma
O ALLAH, owner of this perfect call and owner of this prayer to be performed.
آت محمداً الوسيلة و الفضيلة
Ati muhammadanil wasilata wal fadeela
Bestow upon Muhammad a station in Jannah and a rank above the rest of creation.
وابعثه مقاماً محموداً الذي وعدته
Wab ath-hu maqamam-mahmuda-nil alladhi wa aadtha
And raise him to the rank you have promised him.
To recite Durood Shareef before and after the Azaan is totally permissible

I am SHAMEER NAIDOO, a revert to Islam and I often come across HEADINGS AND STORIES from brothers and sisters who have also REVERTED to Islam Commenting on their ‘CONVERSION’ to Islam. Having LEARNT the LITTLE that I have about the DEEN - OUR DEEN, the REALISATION THAT ‘WE’ DO NOT ‘CONVERT’ to Islam BUT THAT WE ‘REVERT’ to Islam becomes QUITE APPARENT CONSIDERING that ALL HUMAN BEINGS ARE BORN ‘MOSLEM’ BUT DURING THE COURSE OF OUR LIVES ‘WE’ ENCOUNTER DIFFERENT INFLUENCES THAT PERSUADES US TO FOLLOW DIFFERENT LIFESTYLES, TO THE EXTENT THAT OUR FAITH AND BELIEF SYSTEMS BECOME SO CORRUPT AND WE TEND TO LOSE OURSELVES IN THIS MATERIALISTIC AND SINFUL WORLD. Having wandered into another existence following different ways and beliefs EVEN IDOL WORSHIPPING, we have either forgotten or have never REALLY UNDERSTOOD the ONE TRUE PATH IN LIFE; THUS; WHEN WE RETURN TO THAT ‘TRUE PATH’ AGAIN, WE IN ESSENCE ‘REVERT’ TO THE PATH THAT WE STRAYED FROM. ‘THE ONENESS OF ‘GOD’ ALMIGHTY’ REFERRED TO AS ‘ALLAH’. It is ALLAH that has CHOSEN THE ‘RIGHT’ PATH AND LANGUAGE WHICH WE WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE FOLLOWED. ‘TURNING’ BACK TOWARD ‘HIM’ IS NOT CONVERTING BUT ‘REVERTING’. Parents are supposed to be HONOURED even though they may have had NEGATIVE influences on us in a SIMILAR fashion to PEER PRESSURE AND ENVIRONMENTAL INFLUENCES. History, (PAST TRUTHS) SOME OF WHICH may be OPINIONATED teachings CLEARLY depict how our ancestors lived and how traditionally, our forefathers unquestioningly FOLLOWED in their footsteps SOME OF US ARE STILL IGNORANTLY FOLLOWING IN THOSE FOOTSTEPS ALTHOUGH ‘ALLAH’, ‘GOD ALMIGHTY’ has sent in excess of 120 000 messengers to ‘HIS’ CREATION to PASS ONTO US HIS REQUIREMENTS. ALL THESE MESSENGERS WERE EITHER REBUKED OR PARTIALLY IGNORED. PROPHET MUHAMMED (PBUH) BEING THE MOST BELOVED MESSENGER AND SERVANT WAS THE LAST OF ‘HIS’ FAITHFUL SERVANTS TO WHO THE GREATEST MIRACLE WAS REVEALED VERBALLY, ‘THE HOLY QURAAN’ CONTAINING ALL OF ALLAH’S (GODS) REQUIREMENTS OF MANKIND. SUFFICE IT TO SAY MUCH OF MANKIND STILL LIVES IN IGNORANCE OF THE TRUTH, CONTINUOUSLY CREATING REASONS USING ‘SCIENCE’ AS THEIR BACKBONE, CONJECTURING DIFFERENT EXCUSES TO DENY ISLAM ‘A WAY OF LIFE’. THE ONLY R I G H T WAY OF LIFE. THE ONLY WAY THAT CONFORMS EVEN TO THE ‘LAWS’ GIVEN TO MOSES (PBUH) (MOOSA AS). SOON, SOON THE DAWNING OF REALISATION WILL BE UPON EVERY MAN EVEN THOSE WHO ARE STILL SCEPTICAL TODAY. WILL THAT DAY BE TOO LATE? THE ‘END’ OF THE WORLD IS NIGH - TRUE, IT HAPPENS EVERYDAY, EVERY DAY, SOMEONE IS DYING AND ‘THAT’ IS THE END OF THE WORLD FOR THEM. THE ‘WORLD’ AS THEY KNOW IT. ALLAH HU AKBAR! ALLAH HU AKBAR! ALLAH HU AKBAR! Asalaamu Alaikum.
