Because of Adam’s sin, all humanity fell into the prisons and dungeons of sin, sickness, death
and torment. The mind of man which was created to be sharp and intelligent was dulled by the
deterioration caused by sin. Spiritual chains held man’s soul in captivity. The imaginations of a
man’s heart became continually evil from his youth up.
The human mind fell into the gutters of wickedness. Men’s hearts became hardened and
stony, with rebellion and hatred seated upon the throne of man’s intermost being where God
desired to sit. All humanity was the servant of sin. All have sinned and come short of the Glory of
God.
There was none good, no not one. Man, who had been shut up in sin’s prisons and shut out of
heaven’s beauty, was desperately in need of a Saviour. Satan played with men’s lives like a puppet
on a string. Because of the weakness of the flesh caused by sin, man could not break the fetters,
ropes, chains and prison bars that held him in captivity to evil. The only way out of man’s
imprisonment was the only way into God’s Eternal Heaven. Jesus said, "I am the way". Jesus is the
door into heaven. The Keys to the kingdom of heaven were brought by Him into the world. He
came to give the keys to the kingdom to men and to take the keys of hell and death from Satan back
into His possession and control. He shed His blood to break every chain that held us bound. Prison
doors are open to all who believe in His name. Thank God for paying the price "That I Could Still
Go Free".
