Hi Saranya I am home baker too .I can completely understand your situation. My tip for you is always make few extra base for backup .it won’t go waste… trust me .. I always sell box cake if I have extra on same day … put in community group people always buy it. Even neighbor is baker who owes Brazilian bakery . He always bring extra box cake, tarts, muffins, bread with good discount . You can do it that way too.

Very brave of you, I can understand your stress, I would have just called the customer and asked them to buy from a store as I can’t work under this kind of stress. Message to all bakers pls bake your cake one day in advance , chill it in fridge as the flavours come out well the next day only. And always frost your cake hours before your delivery time as mistakes like this tend to happen , you will atleast have good amount of time to fix your mistakes.
