This is like a ASMR podcast. You can tell this man is trained in making people feel that a lot of information is being given to them while not actually giving anything at all. The pace at which he talks isn't too slow, but is slow enough to make us feel that this is a proper length podcast while if you take a wordcount of how many words were spoken by him, it would be a lot less than the other guest that come and speak for the same amount of time. Also the ability to force a tangent in a conversation in a direction he wants it to move while not even intending to do so is epic.

You heard of Joe Rogan? Maybe in India, sure, but in the world, this kid has no influence and he seems very slow due to his indoctrination with propaganda he is being fed. I guess no one noticed when he said "we will talk about whatever that be shared on INDIAN internet" so definitely the internet is sensored in India. Only shows that they can't or never will really have the whole truth. Nothing is inspiring about talking about stuff leaked on Wiki leaks years ago. India is just getting this news? Basically india will never know about their political issues if censored till maybe 50 years from now? Just like this guy came to "expose" the secrets that was stories of 40 years ago.

@@MS-qf4je Yeah, asking an Ex-R&AW chief about his recognition and fame and then comparing your own youtube fame...quite a lite moment indeed. Trust me, no soldier, R&AW officer etc would appreciate such bravado as their profession isn't about fame and recognition to begin with although they deserve it. It's not a gullible bollywood actor podcast where you talk about shallow things like fame and recognition, It's a serious profession meant to be taken seriously. Btw, I ended with cheers, so rest assured it was just a positive criticism 🥂 And my question is, why are you so serious on a mere positive criticism?😅

Sood's point about narratives is totally on point. Indians must have a deeper and wider understanding of their own narratives, and more importantly, the skill and confidence to communicate and project these narratives to those who are ignorant, or worse, peddlers of propaganda. Never underestimate the power of narratives.

Found you charming even in your most uncomfortable moments where you cannot ask more in-depth questions because it involves security. Personally I would have liked you to ask if Mr.Sood's family security was ever threatened as we see it all the time in movies and whether his post retirement phase is safe. Thank you for a heart warming episode of TRS❤

@@Narayanputraa he spent his whole life in RAW, he knows what to tell and what to hide in podcast. many former intelligence officers had written many books on spy world. but in any book they did not reveal any info that is confidential for their respective countries. and second thing it was not live podcast. so if by any chance vikram sood sir had spoke or revealed any confidential info, he would have asked producer to cut this in video.

Great interview. Thanks for a glimpse into the world of nameless people who live their lives for the country. Having said that, what particularly strikes me is when Mr. Sood mentioned all sorts of people join R&AW. Would have been great to understand the underlying motivation of people who choose a life destined to dissolve into oblivion, as like you said, they don't get enough salutes.

Take my word when I say that this podcast has probably taught more to me about world, life and everything. 🎉🎉❤❤Thank you for bringing such an interesting and essential personality on your show. He truly is one of the most grounded person and taught us a lesson to have the right person around us and sometimes to not take ourselves too seriously and that I believe can only come from a person with a great deal of experience 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Also a commendable job from Ranveer to not only ask questions relating to the job of espionage 🥸and the world of mystery but as well making the person in front comfortable 🙏🏻🙏🏻and also reflect lights on their personal lives as wisely said their jobs and contributions are only a part of their life and there is always more nuance to a person. This just makes the person more human and idk well rounded I guess 😅🙏🏻❤ Good one !!
