Idk, I've seen a lot of cancer and this type always seems like it comes from pre teens. I just can't fathom anyone over 16 talking like that. I hate how anime-fans get imagined like this. I'm not saying everyone thinks we're like this, but a majority of people do. Sure, some people ARE like this, and like some genres that others don't agree with. I never went through my intense weeaboo phase, I was more of a big otaku or very little weeaboo. I still am. But one of my best friends is going through that intense moment (like what you said, not the video lol). She goes as far as changing her personality to fit the character, getting fake glasses, (for Juuzou) drawing on herself, doing what the character does, etc. Once, she was acting a bit like Levi, and did the poke thingie on my forehead and called me a brat, but I just kinda waved it off. But now, it's affecting her reputation, and I don't want anything bad to happen to her, cause she's a great person, but people aren't giving her chances anymore. If you have any advice for me to help her, please tell me. Thanks :>

Dont play along with it as that only encourages her. Its fine it she does subtle things, like really subtle things but you have to remind her that it it not normal behaviour. Even in Japanese culture, Im half japanese myself and this behaviour isnt normal.
