Uh... I may have overdone it... Sorry... ^^" Also I talk a lot, and as always I simply wrote paragraphs to, ultimately, just repeat myself like 15 times. My bad. Proceed with caution (?). The intro makes me think of the beginning of Breath of the Wild, basically being called out of a deep slumber with that ebb and flow, or kind of like a heart that starts to beat after being, well, dead; guess the wind in the back could be that metaphorical breath of the wild? ;) Also, the ebb and flow helps with that traditional type of intro, but this time I especially liked how it also supported the transition into a sort of intermediate phase before the introduction of what I would think of as the build-up. In a sense it's kind of like everything falls onto itself, everything is following everything else; in a sense at least for the beginning of the track, it all develops "organically" so to speak, it kind of just "makes sense", and I really like that. It's really interesting because drums aside it's like everything kind of comes and goes? The melody is constantly present and yet something about it feels like it's phasing in and out. This is obviously accentuated by the flow of the melody but also the sort of quick, intermittent violon-like sound. Simultaneusly the drums kind of help keeping the melody present, grounded. I really like these small details, especially the "violon", and the claps (which usually aren't my favourite for some reason); these little details really help build some sort of sonic universe; with good earphones, you really end up feeling surrounded by a world of music, and certain sounds like that violin and the claps really just make it feel that much more alive, that much more full. I like how the intro and buildup aren't just that; the track isn't just a three-part song or melody, but the buildup itself kind of just is segmented; it's not just some repetitive pattern that increases in volume until eventually we reach a climax, although there isn't necessarily a problem with that, but it evolves. At 1:17 for example with drums becoming more prevalent. This really helps build anticipation for what's to come (so that makes it a good build up I guess). Furthermore, this is accentuated by the "break" at 1:56, becoming more silent for a while at 2:35, making you sense the incoming drop. I feel that for the drop, the use of the drums was a strange, albeit nice, idea. In a sense it kind of breaks expectations in an intriguing manner, and for different reasons: - You expect a stronger drop, that deviates more from the original melody - personally, the whole track somewhat felt like a build up towards that - which does not happen; - Since only drums are added back into the track, in some sort of rapid fire for a second, the song ends up being very much the same throughout. It's consistent, and yet one can clearly distinguish different parts, it is segmented as said previously, and it is so in a very nice way. Ultimately, I love this track because of how very interesting it is; we can definitely see some of that RUDE DNA, definitely reminiscent of some of your other works (the memory of _Serenity_ especially imposed itself), but at the same time, it's completely different in its own right, as with other tracks. I guess that's one of the defining characteristics of your music; everything always sounds alike and yet different. In a sense, this track very much is an engima *(wink)* : there is complexity in its structure, but the melody also feels simple, all while alluding to certain classical elements of your style. I think most of the complexity lies in two elements actually: for one, the segmented yet united feel of the melody, but also, and more importantly, how simple the track sounds despite that. Also a quick precision: I say simple, but do not misunderstand: I don't mean by that that making such music is easy and anyone could do it. It's just that listening to it, although, as I've repeated previously, the track is complex, the melody itself feels like quite the opposite. I don't exactly know what I would define as complex music but I guess I would refer to some of Sakuzyo's works, such as _Fracture Ray_ or _I am End_ (though some people would probably argue that such music isn't really music, or at least not necessarily very melodious... x) ).
