+oscar rios So, if the recording was "live" one can assume, that there can be some other, "non-live" recording? Don't know what you're talking about. I think that it's misleading to write live, when most of the people will understand it as a live performance. No one writes (live) on flyers next to the act's name when they are playing a dj set, albeit it's not a pre-recorded, "live" dj set.

+Encuentro no it's not missleading. it was common to name sets "XX live from XY" even 20 years ago it just say that your set was recorded live on party in XY club.. it doesn't mean that somebody had live act

+Thai merr (Thaimer) Explain to me one thing - how can it be recorded in any other way than "live"? It is self-explanatory, if you have a recording from a club, of course it was recorded live, hence why you don't write it. And LIVE means someone was playing a LIVE PERFORMANCE, not a dj set. Don't know where you're coming from, but from where I am plenty of people find it misleading.

Encuentro clearly you haven't see or heard any set recorded 10+ years ago when pretty much any set had live at in name.. later changed with @ He can reproduce ( play pretty much same tracks with little bit difference) that set later at home and post it as XY club set so that is why this live. that only mean set is recorded at spot. 10+ years there wasn't a lot of live acts so nobody cared about that.. anyway what's big deal about real LIVE act ?? 95% just prearange own tracks in ableton and press play. i've seen even worse situation playing own tracks as DJ set.
