Narducy has had a pretty incredible, under the radar career. He’s played with 3 of my all time favorite singer-songwriters in Robert Pollard, Bob Mould and Liz Phair. And his album “Chronicles” with the band Verbow is amazing.

Actually, no. Metro Detroit. In the 90’s, I was a huge Bob Mould fan. Still am. Found out Bob produced Verbow’s “Chronicles” and loved it the first time I heard it. The first 8 tracks or so on there are perfect. One of the best albums of the 90’s.

It's remarkable how many of my favorite 80s REM songs are Mike Mills heavy. I can't wait to see the show!
@vailpcs4040 Жыл бұрын
Objectively, he had a better voice than Stipe, but wasn't as good a frontman. In the first 3rd of their career (albums up to Out of Time), Mills was the magic that tied them together and really helped grow them a following. I'm glad to see the music coming back for a new generation to enjoy! :)
@genghis_connie Жыл бұрын
@@vailpcs4040 I was. VeERY surprised Jason didn’t sing Mills’ part. It’s the magic of this song - and his voice is great.

Jason Narducy’s Split Single band is one of my absolute favorite bands on the planet, and he’s the reason I discovered Superchunk & Bob Mould’s many projects. 🙏
@jyutzler11 ай бұрын
Wow, you discovered Jason first, then Bob Mould? I'm glad that he is reaching new fans independently. One of the benefits of being a big Bob Mould fan for over 30 years is first hearing of him before Verbow when he opened for Mould in 1997.

Michael Shannon is a good fella. He’s been doing a show here in Brooklyn in my neighborhood, and I see him smoking and hanging out during rehearsals, performances, and he just seems like a totally cool, down to earth dude. Superb actor. Looking forward to hearing him sing. This is an artist.

I ran into Jason Narducy at a bar in St. Paul, before a Bob Mould show, and I thought it was really cool that it was him, we were the only two in the bar, but I didn't say anything. How weird would it be to ask a stranger, "Hey, are you Jason Narducy" and the stranger replies, "Who?"
