First story: Oh, how very typical of a Karen to lack any form of self-control, even to the point that they'll intentionally get themselves in trouble in order to win their ego battle. Either they don't believe that they aren't impervious to consequence, or they just don't care. Second story: Not only is this aunt a self-proclaimed Christian with every hateful personality trait under the sun, but the ending of this story showed that she still has the mental age of a pre-teen. And anyone who's like her should be treated as such, with no regard to them even having passed their mid-life. Third story: There's no obligation to "provide for family" if you don't consider them as family. Frankly, I think OP's parents has to be investigated by CPS, as what they're doing is not only child neglect, but pretty much child abuse too. They're clearly not mentally sound, judging from the delusion that the mere idea of having kids is "a blessing", and their constant denial of how much worse its made their lives and their unwillingness to change. I mean, you would think the way _their own adult children_ are opposing them should be some sort of wake-up call, but this is beyond what mere words can fix. They need to have life thrown at them HARD, so that they won't even have time to feel sorry for themselves.

As someone who was told on their 22nd birthday that my mom, 40, was pregnant, I can relate to that story. It was terrifying. My mom wasn't excited about it and was super on the fence about abortion or going through with it(adoption wasn't an option, she didn't see it as fair for the kid if they grew up to learn that my mom kept ME when she was 19, but not THEM when she was 40). She had a miscarriage, so it sorta took care of itself, but it was still a difficult idea. Having a sibling that was 22 years younger than me. I would've accepted it, of course, if she wanted to keep it. Since she only ever had one kid, Me, but she never wanted kids in the first place.

This is a long comment so brace yourself: My parents are religious people, especially my mother. I grew up in a family of 7, and had major financial issues throughout my life. My parents gave birth to so many kids because they wanted a son (all of us are daughters), but they gave up after the 5th daughter (a.k.a. my younger sister). They were open about the fact that they wanted a son, and that they didn't plan to have so many kids. And they did believe that God had planned them to have 5 kids, but instead of having free slave labor to my oldest sisters, they actually paid babysitters to take care of the younger ones, planned ways to cater to us equally, spent money wisely to feed each of us, and over all, we all turned out to be nice and loving people. To this day, I'm impressed on how they managed to raise 5 healthy kids while broke throughout my childhood. Not once did any of us spend a day without food or shelter. I do agree that OP's mother is a disgusting person for having so many kids with no plan on how they're gonna raise them. Especially since OP tried to comfort her mother after learning about the discharge, only for her mother to verbally attack her and blamed her for the death of the baby. I understand what grief can do, but it does sound like she was an unsupportive mother from the start.

I would have said (in the last story) to the mom, “GOD GAVE YOU A CHILD, BUT HE HAD SECOND THOUGHTS BECAUSE OF YOUR UNHAPPY LIFESTYLE WHERE BROTHERS AND SISTERS TAKE CARE OF EACHOTHER WHILE THE ONLY THING YOU CAN DO IS GET YOURSELF PREGNANT!”

6:00 If I was OP I would be all like "Because I am a grown ass adult, and as a grown ass adult only the LAW can tell me what I am or am not allowed to do. If God has some sort of problem with what I'm doing, then issue between me and God, not me and you. In short, you have no authority over me, so you telling me to stop drinking beer does not mean even an iota of shit to me." Also you gotta love how the aunt seems to think that OP's fiance, whom she clearly thought was a dude, also has the authority to tell OP what she is and isn't allowed to do. Like that's some actual misogyny right there. So long as you're not cheating on your romantic partner, or in general doing things that are very illegal/immoral, I don't see why your partner should care about what you do with your life. You are their partner, not their property. Edit: In regards to the last post, I'd argue that the mom miscarrying just might be solid proof that there really is a God after all. If He's really giving people babies as a "gift" the way the parents seem to think, then maybe this is God's way of saying they don't need anymore "gifts", especially when they proved they can't be trusted to be responsible for the "gifts" they already have.

How dare those parents tell their CHILD she's selfish for NOT PROVIDING FOR FAMILY when her whole life THEY COULD NOT PROVIDE FOR THAT FAMILY? It is NOT a child's responsibility. There are so many more people who are irresponsible for HAVING children and forcing them to grow up with close to nothing (or absolutely nothing) than young couples who do have abortions to be responsible to NOT force the child into poverty.

The first story is a typical Karen car hater to my knowledge, I'm not a fan of loud cars myself but I also find it to be crazy decision to key a car just because you don't like it or the sound level of it. Manual vehicles almost always start up loud and that Karen needs to do research on them before acting like a fool.

My parents were the exact same way except they weren't Karens luckily. My Mom had her first kid at age 22 then had her second at 24 then her 3 at 29,and her 4 at 32 and her 5 at 36. They were Christian and did believe that children would make you so much more happier and it was a blessing. I was the 3rd child of 2 girls and 3 boys. My Mom treated me and my sis as a servent. We cooked, cleaned, help school my younger brother before he went to kindergarten. My older brothers didn't have ANY jobs or responsibilitys at ALL, when they all turned 17 I was extremely worried for them as they had NO idea what the real world was like when they would move out. 1st brother that moved out came back to live at our parents house as he got evicted. Same with my second he got a nice apartment and then after a month he came back. My parents during all of this would go to work come home. If my brothers ever needed money they would give it to them. If I even brought the subject up of going out with my friends or asking for money I had to do more chores. Thankfully I had good friends and good younger siblings who were always secretive when I had my friends come to my house. I could tell they hated it because of dirty diapers and whiny kids so I either always had them come around nap time and play outside so we could hang. BUT one day my parents come over to help my older brothers out by giving them their money early. When they found out they told my friends to leave and then said "why did you have friends over" "you need to be a proper young lady and worry about your brother" I never got to hangout with them anymore after that as my older brothers got extra money of they came by the house at 3 (that's nap time). When I turned 17 I started applying to college when I got in one I was Soo happy. I never told anyone about this except for my sister . When I turned 18 I moved out I was ecstatic as soon as I blew out my candles, I hugged everyone and packed up my stuff and caught a bus to my new apartment. I let my sister and younger brother come visit me, but never my parents or older brothers come because my brothers got tired of listening to crying anymore of my parents new baby. YEAH their 6th child so they wanted to move in with me. I of course said no as they wouldn't get a job or work or cook or clean or help pay rent they in fact were already failing their classes at school. I felt terrible for my sis but she said she would be that she knew what I had to do for her and younger brother and that she knew I was always tired and terribly upset and that it was her turn to help out.

I drive a Paggio „Ape 50“ (three wheeled light vehicle with 50ccm two stroke engine that roars like a jet turbine) its not that fast or comfortable but its really compact so it’s the perfect vehicle for in city traveling (going to work, shopping…). I regularly get into situations like this about the engine being way to loud, being so slow (like 25-40kmph on flat road, just won’t be faster), and driving it like a regular car (cuz it isn’t actually, but in 3 1/3 years of driving it, I learned to ignore the others honking at traffic lights (except I go even slower)). My neighbors both tried to get the police to shut the vehicle down several times, but always failed (it’s going ok with every law) and are really toxic about it. Two times they stole a wheel of it, another time they poured nails in my driveway, the worst try of them was actually stealing the vehicle (failed cuz I put gps tracker’s on everything (cuz i keep losing stuff)) I found it in the neighbors garage (was charged and found guilty with theft)

Considering that we're only hearing one side of the story, I don't think it speaks well for the daughter that even hearing it from her perspective, she still doesn't come off very good. And the likelihood is she's sugercoating herself a bit, as everybody does to some extent. Who reacts to news of a miscarriage with relief, even if she didn't want her to have it? That's just heartless. She must despise her mother, and if that's the case, why go see her after she lost the baby? Especially when she was giving her shit for even trying to have it. Cuz she felt bad? Bull-shit! _ I felt a huge wave of relief wash over me_ Even If she's being 100% truthful, she sounds about as shitty as her mother.

If you are going to have lots of kids make sure you are financially stable. You see, my aunt has 11 kids (I’m from Utah, so that’s not very uncommon, it’s still a LOT of children.) two of them are in heaven, so only 8 live with her (baby number 9 is due in a week). But she’s not in debt or having to get hand-me-downs from other family members. Her husband works a fairly well paying job, and the oldest is out of high school with her own job. The second oldest is almost done with high school and searching for a job. It’s really no problem if you can handle it, but if you can’t pay for ANOTHER child then don’t, until you can, or just don’t. At all.

That mom is NUTS. Miscarriages happen a lot. With a majority during first trimester, before showing much. Sometimes it just feels like a heavy, intense period, sometimes worthy of an ER trip all depends. And she's delusional because it's an unfortunate coincedence. Bad things happen, it's a fact of life. But even bad things can have positive consequences, like all the things OP pointed out.

That first one is tough for me because I absolutely fucking hate loud cars (or loud noises in general). I'm just really sensitive to it. any loud random noise out of nowhere sends like a shock wave through my body and chills down my spine. If that shit was happening every day for hours at a time where I lived I would want to key their car too.

I understand the Karen in the first story though. However it's Bikes I hate. Because somehow Bikes over here is 100x louder than tractors. It's almost as if they amped up the noise on those things, and they drive it around during night time. You can literally hear them from a km away. Imagine having that right outside your window at 1 am. In the case of this Karen, having a baby can be heavy work. Unnecessarily noisy vehicles would make that even harder. Keying the car is however not the solution.

Lezwolfvet, Amy and Katy I am a devout Christian and male, but I don't push my Christianity on any one, if you love your partner then all I can say is, "Screw your aunt" she is not the kind of Christian that would be allowed in my church. We are taught to love each other and not to disrespect anyone even if they do not conform to what Christianity has shown us to follow what we have been taught. Yes I love the God that I have been told is my saviour. But I have also been taught that Christians should show love to everyone, it does not matter what race they are, what colour they are or what their bodies tell them they are. I realise that you are both two women, that one is the wife and one is the husband, you gotta do what you need to do, and I love you both for what you want to be, may the Lord bless and keep you both safe from all that harms.

The first time I read about their new sibling... I kinda wished it would pass on peacefully... I felt so bad for op and the sibline, that I just wished for justice. I don't think it's MY fault creating a miscarriage, but I admit that I thought about it every time while I was drawing and listening that this baby will have a horrible life. I'm Kemetic and asked Asir, what would the solution be? This child will have a horrible life. Now I hear the what happened... -_- reminds me how I lost my fiancé and Lune 15 years ago. So, here's the poem, I'll give your brother or sister, who escaped a horrible life... Fly, fly little wing Fly beyond imagining The softest cloud, the whitest dove Upon the wind of heaven's love Past the planets and the stars Leave this lonely world of ours Escape the sorrow and the pain And fly again Fly, fly precious one Your endless journey has begun Take your gentle happiness Far too beautiful for this Cross over to the other shore There is peace forevermore But hold this memory bittersweet Until we meet Fly, fly do not fear Don't waste a breath, don't shed a tear Your heart is pure, your soul is free Be on your way, don't wait for me Above the universe you'll climb On beyond the hands of time The moon will rise, the sun will set But I won't forget Fly, fly little wing Fly where only angels sing Fly away, the time is right Go now, find the light
