I suppose I already knew this from the start. I honestly don’t remember when or how I learned that society expects all women to reproduce and be happy mothers sacrificing their bodies, freedom and time to raise a kid or three. I think I was fourteen or fifteen when I realised that I was different from the other kids. I didn’t find boys (or girl or anything else) remotely appealing. And I knew I didn’t want to reproduce. Ever. But I told myself I was probably a late bloomer and these “universal things” that all women want, would eventually come. But it didn’t. I was about 24 or so when I realised that I wasn’t going to change. Around me all my friends and colleagues were pairing up and having kids and they were starting to question why I wasn’t doing so. A couple even tried to set me up with dates. But then one day I had an epiphany. A simple little lie that would forever get everyone off my back. The lad who doesn't want kids: Good for him on knowing what he wants. I had a workmate who was single and was still traveling into his 60's to places like Albania, Cuba and sundry African countries. As for the entitled parents, they need to suck it up and learn what friendship does not equate to money. Our first holiday after the kids were born happened when they were 9 & 10. Apart from a couple of trips to local destinations for long weekends, we simply didn't have the money. But that was our choice and we never saw that as a negative. Further, traveling with kids when they can appreciate what is happening adds to the joy of it all. The woman trying to live off b/f. This happened a long time ago. My friend had a good job. He had been promoted. He then had been recruited recruited by a big firm who gave him a big pay increase, a corner office & the supervision of a good sized staff. My friend purchased a very nice house, a great car. He began dating. His g/f also had a good job & while it offered a future it was not at the same level as his. He told her who he worked for & what he did. She assumed he was fairly low on the corporate ladder. He always treated her well. They did fun vacations on his dime. Always got her good gifts. Her family didn’t think much of him as she told him he was just a lower level drone. My friend felt as if that her parents saw him as just a transitional figure. Well, she got a promotion & there was a corporate party to celebrate this advancement. He went dressed in his best corporate outfit. At the part he networked. It suddenly dawned on g/f that her b/f was indeed much more successful than she had thought. This bothered her as part of her personality was she was she believed that she was doing much better than he was. She asked if she could visit him at work. He was pleased as he liked the idea of showing off his attractive g/f who had just got a big promotion. She arrived & he took her to lunch at the Corporate dinning room. She met many of his friends & co workers. She was impressed. She was then all but speechless when saw his office. Then a top executive came in to talk to b/f. He was very charming & spoke of b/f great future with more promotions at the firm. At this point my friend wanted to amp up their relationship. It had been warm & friendly but he wanted to take further steps. At the very time he wanted to get more serious she began to back pedal trying to figure things out once she learned how successful her b/f actually was…In the end they broke up because couldn’t adapt to his success. She did explain all this to him when she ended things. Eventually, my friend found another person & this led to a happy marriage where they both were successful on a personal & professional level. As to the g/f…..my friend heard she continued to do well but he had no clear idea what happened to her later.

Story 1: Crocodile tears. Mostly manipulative, possibly some emotional release (think childish tantrum, “I’m not getting my entitled way, wa-wa-wah”). Another Karen is husband-hunting. Dark Fluff is right. Run! Story 2: The police should have been called immediately. The ID was apparently either stolen or sold illegally by the owner; determining which is a police matter, but at least two laws were broken. Story 3: Dark Fluff, you nailed it again!

I can’t imagine being so entitled that you demand a friend gives you £3000, when you’ve already borrowed £1800, don’t appear to be paying it back any time soon, and berate them for wanting to travel when they’ve been working more hours than you and clearly budgeted for this. Those aren’t your friends OP, you need to ditch them because they are TOXIC

Frankly, I think America should do as the Europeans do: Start them young, at home, with WATERED DOWN DRINKS, and teach them how to drink resposibly. p.s. You might have heard of the rum drink called "grog" that sailors used to get. It was a daily ration, one a day, and it wasn't pure rum. It was half water, half rum.

Drinking Laws -- To consume alcohol in Danish bars, restaurants, or cafes, customers must be 18 or older. There are no restrictions on children 17 and under who drink at home or, for example, from a bottle in a public park. Danish police tend to be lenient unless drinkers become disorderly or uncontrollable

Actually, I used to work at a Homeless Shelter and we'd go to Vons and purchase as many as 150 to 200 boxes of cereal. Because cereal would almost literally disappear in the morning. Honestly, the 150 to 200 boxes was expected to last for a weeks time. But, in truth, the clients were only supposed to be given one bowl of cereal in order for everyone to have cereal in the morning. Wakeup time at the shelter was 6:00 a.m.

I’ve actually experienced a similar situation as the last story. At least once every year at my work (I’m a bagger at supermarket) there’s a lady who buys 2 carts full of “special edition” cereal, like pumpkin spice, and sells it on Amazon. I imagine that’s what Karen was doing but on a much larger scale. Still absolutely insane that she’d buy them by the pallet XD

Cereal story: Hmmm...I think I might be checking Ebay, Craigslist, Facebook, etc. to see if she IS reselling this cereal. And if you have any large flea market/consignment stores in the area check them out as well. Because if she is reselling you have no obligation to be her supplier, that is not the business your store is in. If she's donating to charity, that's another story although I don't understand why she wouldn't make that known. It would likely get her cheaper prices and be a tax write-off.

I'd check out FLEA MARKETS, too. They still exist and you'll find things like this there. Especially with BOGOs, she can still charge mma little more than retail and make out like a bandit. Even yard/garage saled. Wonder if shes hitting up other retail establishments like this, maybe for different items. Lets have a garage sale grocery store every few weeks, y'all (Example-LONG (as in decades) BEFORE the COVID toilet paper "shortages" , an elderly woman would come into the county bldg where I worked just after standard working hours, wander from floor to floor, restroom to restroom, and load up on toilet paper. She was a skinny little woman but wore a huge trenchcoat (even in the Florida summers!) & just grabbed the goods. Wouldn't respond to -or even acknowkege- anyone asking her if she needed assistance. When I caught her @ it & notified Security, I later found out she'd been caught before doing the same thing. Sometimes she kinda snuck in before close of business day (it's a public bldg so hard to deny access) &then hid til most employees had fled the offices, then wandered from floor to floor gathering her 'supplies". She had a flea market booth on weekends.

Foodbanks normally will get things wholesale/direct from distributor. This will save costs, they would even get the large boxes. At supermarkets you see 16oz canned foods. Foodbanks get those larger cans that are 66oz or larger. So the same thing would happen with cereal.

Story 3: I've noticed that there are typically certain Attributes the Classic Karens follow, they're all usually asociated with Racism, Narcissism, Anti-vaxxism, Let-me-talk-to-your-managerism, but they also have different elements like pokemon Karen with Children: they think that people who don't have kids are miserable/beneath them and believe that having kids is life's only joy no matter how entitled their kids are Angry Customer Karen: she won't leave you alone, even if you aren't an employee, until she gets a discount or gets her stuff for free Bad Mom Karen: she inflicts trauma on her kids and MUST have a say in everything they do even into their adulthood Workplace Bully Karen: always a pain in everyone's butt and has to be paid more than anyone else and if you get on her nerves she'll get you fired Baby Boomer Karen/Senior Karen: she believes that "your generation is doing it wrong and you should do as I say because i’m your elder" Rich Karen (I guess this One is shiny): they’re spoiled, arrogant and Think they’re on top of the World and that everyone is beneath Them Church-going Karen (in my opinion the most evil one): she has to have complete control of your life whether you're a member of her family or not, her word is "God's word" and she'll disown you (and sometimes even kill you) should you dare to defy her (there may be more types of Karens that i'm not aware of but these are all the ones I could think of) Police: Gotta catch 'em all

And I was floored to find another thing that is legal in the state of Wisconsin, is that you are able to drink if you're under the age of 21. If you are accompanied by a parent or Guardian or by a spouse. There's actually no minimum age listed in the law so it is up to the server/bartender discretion on if they feel comfortable serving you're not.
