Loved hearing the words 'high tempo' and 'quick' from RLB. Sounds like it may be a lot better to watch this season.

It's nice to see a head coach who seems to be energetic and involved. Let's hope he gets us playing nice, fast football. He seems promising. Of course there's a long way to go with getting the right bodies into the squad too.

What I like is he asks ekwah and pembele stuff in French and then asks them if it makes sense and you see Pierre explaining it in English to riggy and the lads

Very hands on it seems. Hard working fella. Gonna press teams and play high tempo so gotta be super fit and react as a team.Good stuff so far but I hope he gets an assistant soon. He will burn out.

Early days but I'm impressed with the high tempo, quick movement that RLB is trying to instill into the players. Seems a likeable bloke and a good motivator for the players, then we've got Dodds and Proctor hanging about like farts in a space suit 😱

@@UncleRegpretty sure I heard last year he was surprised at the intensity of British pre seasons as he never did them with Benfica B/their academy set up.. probably still adjusting with it being his 2nd ever preseason is that’s the case

I think one of the four defenders break forwards when we attack giving extra width when/if the winger cuts inside; I guess the drill is the three sitting defenders and two midfielders need to slow down the counter attack until the attackers can get back into the defending shape.

It will be Dodds cringing at the unfamiliar terms: 'too slow' & 'high tempo' and asking the French players to translate for him. Imagine the fun they could have there🤡
