Этот концерт не был завершён Глиэром из-за внезапной смерти и по черновикам Глиэра его закончил Борис Лятошинский,когда-то учившийся у Глиэра. Думаю,это повлияло и на стиль получившегося произведения. Мне кажется необходимым указывать двойное авторство,иначе это несправедливо,да и просто не соответствует историческим фактам. I think this also influenced the style of the resulting work. It seems to me necessary to indicate dual authorship, otherwise it is unfair, and simply does not correspond to historical facts. Gliere was more interested in pleasing the authorities than Shostakovitch; getting three Stalin prizes among his 15 official prizes. He avoided getting singled out by Stalin's man, Zhdanov, for official disapproval in 1948 unlike Shostakovitch and others like Prokofiev did. Composition of Shostakovitch's Violin Concerto No. 1 was disrupted by that trial, taking a number of years to be performed after Stalin's death. Shostakovitch's Violin Concerto No. 2 hadn't those problems and both were for David Oistrakh.
