Mount Kinabalu is the 28th highest mountain in South East Asia (ref: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Southeast_Asian_mountains). It is the 20th most prominent mountain in the world, based on the height of the peak from the base of the mountain. As an ex-Sabahan, I was thought in school that it is the highest mountain in SEA, but that was more than 40 years ago. A lot more taller peaks have been found around SEA, especially in Myanmar, close to the Chinese border.
The Federal goverment (Central goverment) just do not want to develop Sabah/Sarawak or concentrate, they just develop peninsula malaya using the huge money from oil and gas, palm oil etc etc. Look at the infurstructure Sabah/Sarawak is way behind more than thirty years, be it schools, road, water, telecomunication, hospitals, ports, etc etc.Look at the foreign investment how to attract them when they see the poor infurstuture as compare to peninsula malaya.

Thank you 🙏 I would say Sabah is much better than Irvine and silicone valley, but Taiwan is still my #1 go to place for shopping 🛒 if there were no earthquake or political issues in Taiwan, we would probably move to Taiwan 😉
