around 2:03 , it sounds a little bit like the Flight of Bumble bees. You probably can play the Flight of Bumble bees with Erhu which might be very interesting . :-)

Well done. You did not let your violin slow you down. The subtle difference is in the emphasis of the use wrist between the two instruments. You have captured both.

Congratulation for being to play this good Anastasia. I have been playing erhu for over 15 years and could not play this piece well.

Coz she is violinist too

For this piece it definitely helped me that I am a violinist indeed. Since I already have left hand finger speed and coordination as well as good hearing, it was no problem for me. Playing more difficult Chinese pieces with real Chinese different flavors and own technique, is something I actually need to spend time on to learn and understand more

The tune is great. I also practiced this tune a lot. However it is so topical of Erhu tunes that the arrangement is unbelievably weird.

Hi Fridman, just give you a humble advice ahah... To avoid whistle(noise) sound, you could try to soften your wrist power and let your wrist be more flexible. And also, for holding bow part, I suggest using wrist power instead of arm power, and lowering your bow especially playing fast speed (Dont learn from ChenJun ahah...) For ricochet, you can release you wrist and let your bow to be resilience. However, you play really good.(Sorry for my poor english ahah...)
@Anastasia.fridman3 жыл бұрын
Hi Benjamin! Thank you for your advice on my question :) I believe i played mostly with my wrist, but for sure i will try to relax it more and then see if the whistling sound goes away. The position of the bow in fast passages was since i noticed its easier to play spicatto like that, but i will try to lower it too. Still need some practice for spicatto and ricochet to sound good for sure haha. Thanks again for the tips^^ will try them out for sure!
