One way we can become activists against deforestation is for people to all have being turned into a tree be their preferred method of burial and then get a plaque put up on the tree - high up enough to be above where they would cut it down, and make a whole big dedication etc so that it would be an absolute ATROCITY for any company to cut it down... and then if enough people do that of all the billions of people in the world maybe we can just plant whole ecosystems (advised by ecologists on which types of trees, etc are needed) that becomes untouchable to corporates because it's ALL grave sites etc and therefore MUST be preserved. Maybe we could be really strategic about how we space our graves out as well so that we take up maximum space so that it's JUST not enough space for them to try dig around us, where our tree graves are placed kinda like a checkerboard. 😈

Just going off the title. Just because a person is blind does not mean they can't hear. You talk to them just the way you talk to anyone else. On the other hand, I have interacted with deaf people. If you don't know sign language, a notepad and pencil works quite well. Back when I had a tablet, I had some very nice conversations with deaf people. Most are quite grateful that you took the effort to get to know them, and not judge them for their disability.
