R.I.P Jeep 392 & Gladiator

A 2020 JT owner. The Gladiator should come with a 392, and Dana 60 axle, 4.5 inch Teraflex extended travel lift, 38 inch tires, Stellantis, from factory, and not $125K. At the least a AEV 3 inch lift package with XT8100 Bilstein shocks. I'm having ticking motor requiring replacing 4 sets of rocker arms, by 59K, at 82K I got multiple misfires, and my Bank 1 cat is failing from it. Failed PVC valve caused seals in intake manifld to blow/leak. I have galvanic corrosion in the hinges at 82K.

told a dealer if jeep made a truck again i would buy one. i still dont own a jeep truck. i had a 2004 4.0 5 speed wrangler. last year that was any good as well. in fact, that is about the last time i saw a wrangler made. drive a 1999 xj now.

Well, I had a 2020 JT. Honestly It broke my heart, It was the worst vehicle I have ever owned and I had to get rid of it at two years old and 20k miles. They still haven't fixed the aluminum corrosion issue. Co worker has one and his is starting on the hood, doors and hinges. They had so much potential and wasted it. Fiat ruins everything.

Imagine if Jeep offered a 5.7 option on all trims for a mere $1500-2500 up charge. They would have sold hundreds of thousands.

The demand for a V8 Wrangler isn't that high.😂 $100k for a wrangler is quite possibly one of the dumbest vehicle ideas right next to turning the Wrangler into a pickup truck.

@@lukelowe918 At that markup, they only need to sell like 500 to make huge money. Rich old dudes love the 392 and would probably pay more for them.

@@lukelowe918 Your correct a 100k Wrangler is stupid, even a 50K Wrangler is stupid. Its a basic 4x4. Used to be able to upgrade engines for $1500-$2500. Offer a base wrangler with a 5.7 starting at 25k, it would sell like crazy.

@rickp6391 I remember the last time they were in financial trouble I was hoping Toyota/Honda would buy the Jeep brand and build a reliable basic vehicle. A 2 door Wrangler that was TJ sized with a 1GR-FE and a 6 speed Toyota drive train would of been fire. Instead we got a bloated JK 4 door with a minivan engine and it has barely improved but now it costs 3x as much.
