R.I.P. Winter the Dolphin

Winter was my friend for 10 years, she brought me and Cammie who works as her caregiver together as friends, and she inspired me to live with my diabetes and Asperger syndrome and now she is gone. I will miss her forever. 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Fell in love with her 7 yrs ago after watching dolphin tale with my kids was recently there in june but weather wise never got to see her, im heartbroken but will still donate and of course visit the aquarium winter welcomed everyone ❤

I love Winter! It is so sad what happened to her! Usually, dolphins live to 25 but Winter died at age 16! I am sorry for me, and everybody else who loves and misses Winter. I never met Winter myself, but have planned to for as long as I can remember. As to Cozy and Nathan, I don't know how they can live without Winter, I can hardly stop crying!

My mom and me heard about the movie Dolphin Tail one day. So we went & seen it at movie theater it wasa heart warming movie to me because I have a mild case of cerebral palsy. From that movie I was now a huge fan of winter. Then in January - February of last year My mom had to take me to a hospital in Oklahoma where they had to run some tests on me to figure out what was wrong with my speech. So the doctor came back to my mom and me. They said that they had diagnosed me with a mini stroke ( with is a TIA transient ischemic attack). There are not fun at all.

She will be missed for sure. CMA will never be the same. Tampa bay will never be the same even. I would rather go to CMA over Florida aquarium anyday cuz winter was there. But I look forward to seeing hope and Nicholas when I visit this Christmas season.

There are five different habitats the dolphins live in. Often toys and other enrichment devices are put in the water with them. Some days they don't want to play. They have each other.

@@GingerPrincessVlogs You know? I think I heard about Winter when she was a baby. I remember years ago I saw a story on the news about a dolphin`s tale getting cutoff in a crab`s pot and then I saw them put a plastic tale on her. I think I saw this in 2005 because that`s the year she was born in. But Winter the dolphin has sadly died at the age of 16. RIP Winter you will never be forgotten. 😭😢🐬

@@michaelsheehan8075 I do know. I work at the aquarium. She is the dolphin in '05. A crab trap rope wrapped around her cutting off circulation to her tail. After a while it slowly fell off and a prosthetic was made for her by hanger clinic. Yes she died Thursday night.

@@GingerPrincessVlogs I cried when I heard of Winter's passing and my heart goes out to all at CMA who took care of her! ❤ I was wondering why she didn't swim with her prosthetic tail on all the time?

@@amyarnold2097 she only used her tail for exercising her muscles. They only had it on her 2-3 times a week. As many have said it would be like running on the treadmill 24/7. No one wants that.
