सिलोन पर चलने वाला हररोज सुबह ८ से ९ चलनेवाला ' आप ही के गीत ', ' पसंद अपनी अपनी- ख़याल अपना अपना ' या भावगीत (शनिवार को सुबह ९.३० से १० बजे तक)का एखादं टुकड़ा इस व्हिडिओ क्लिप में डाल देते तो सोने पे सुहागा हो जाता, भाईसाहब।

Since my childhood I had been listening Radio Ceylon of Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation. It has done great contribution in promoting Indian Songs . It has collection of old Hindi songs which even Vividh Bharti doesn't have. I use to listen program like Bhule Bisre Geet, Anokhe Bol, Ek hi film ke geet, Saaz our Awaaz, Ek aur Anek, Binaca Geetmala , Sada Jawan Nagme on Sundays..with starting song Abhi to main jawan hoon...and announcer Gopal Sharma's words Shubratri at the end ..and National Anthem of Sri Lanka. We will remain always grateful 🙏 to Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation for their Service to Indian Music ..

I have been listening to Radio Ceylon (RC) since my childhood from 1960's. At the time everyone would listen to RC inspite of the fact that short wave reception was quite poor most of the time . WE used to listen in the 25 meter band, the other two bands 31 and 41 were ify. I still remember the memorable commercials and the jungles. Remember the three daily transmissions and the announcers like Gopal Sharma, Cheten Khera and Dhiv Kumar Shiroj. Here is the United Sates in late 70's and early 80's I would some times receive RC on my communications receiver. I am thankful to few dedicated individuals who put RC on the youtube. I am thank full the the Government of Sri Lank in keeping the memory of Radio Ceylon alive. I hope that younger generation would continue to appreciate RC for years to come. RC is one place which house the vast treasure of film music. Thanks to the individuals responsible for maintaining this treasures.

Thanks for Sharing this wonderful Video....we Kids of 70s grew up listening to Binaca Geetmala on Radio Ceylon every Wednesday Evening. I still remember it used to be on SW band and 1550Mhz frequency. Good luck, God bless and wishing you a Great Future 🙏🙏

My history of listening SLBC started in early 60's -- it used to be on 11800Khz and in evening used to be till 10 pm -- there was also a parallel 7190 khz (41m) -- till few years back morning English was broadcast in 15m -- those days low interference on SW -- thus possibly their transmitters were 250kW -- sadly only braodcast is at 11905Khz during 0730-0800 am IST
