I love your arrangement of this song! It feels very unique and seems to have your own interpretation in it, not just a piano version based on the original. The opening high notes made me feel I am reliving the first moment of the movie when KiKi was just getting ready to leave home.

I recently rewatched this film since I watched it in high school 17 years ago. It is still one of the most inspiring and beautiful Ghibli films to me. I remember downloading the sheet music from somewhere and learning this song and a town with an ocean view immediately after watching the movie. It was one of the only times where I looked forward to practice. Your arrangement is amazing as usual 👏👏

Thank you for watching my video. I'm very happy that my music is with you during your study time. My performance of the Ghibli cover was published on CD about 20 years ago. Since then, there have been many unauthorized uploads on KZbin. I'm grateful that so many people listen to it, but I don't receive any revenue from it. So I'm glad you found me.Thank you!!

Hi Mrs.Makiko, I am a self-taught pianist and I love your albums. Do you mind sharing how long it usually takes to finish an arrangement like this?

It takes 3-4 days to arrange for piano solo. It takes 1-2 days to make a sheet music. To make a video... It takes about 2 days for piano practice, and about 1 day for video editing (compositing with glowing blocks, etc.) after recording.
