I think there is truth in what our elders have been saying for hundreds of years: Where there is Laxmikataksham in abundance, Saraswatikatasham, usually, is either missing or in short supply. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule. But as I watched and listened to this video, I thought of the melodious, bhakti and bhava laden, chaste music of the superb Rudrapatnam Brothers, and several of their concerts I attended. I used to only respect only Bhakthi, bhaava and recording quality ... But later also started feeling the vidvat, the foundation of the Indian classical singing is also important and to be respected.
