Fighting to live right from his birth, Krishna was born to the royal couple King Vasudev and Queen Devaki while they were imprisoned by her Evil brother King Kamsa. Kamsa was informed by a divine messenger that the eighth child of Vasudev and Devaki would bring about his downfall. Having seven of their children slain by Kamsa, the King and Queen hid the news of their eighth born, Krishna and took him to Vrindavan on a basket in the middle of the night and switched him with the little baby girl born to the chief Nanda and his wife Yashoda.
