The true is, it 's not the same meaning for us now. While in our young and fashion period, we adimired to showed off the charaetor, trendy and luxurious things, while we are drinking or dinner. How about now? we use to stay at home and work, causal wearing. Maybe just take a tea break or fast lunch then go back. Indeed, we use to have a petit dinner with littles or amigos. So, why do we wearing a 100-200K watch to dinner?
Thank you for your deep interpretation! I totally agree with you that watches shouldn't be a speculated commodity. I have been collecting watches for the last 15 years with many brands, of course including Rolex but never buy them in the second hand market with any surplus. The trend with further drop in second hand market will get the watch market to a much health situation.

其實好難返去以前價位,有勞力士熱炒款式頂住最低個位置做𠄘托,例如百事圈個價非常硬淨,連帶所有新款gmt同sub仔都唔會跌破公價,但講緊係正價加價都就快到十萬即係市場已經接受咗海陸空款企硬嚮六位數,除非真係冇人買否則勞力士出貨一樣唧牙膏咁最多叫做比以前兩年容易比貨VIP。玩開手錶都知道有階級制度,對上地通嗱基本都企穩廿萬築底。有咗呢個參考就已經托住上面貴金屬嘅價,諸如此類其他更高級嘅A P P P熱門款就自然搵到一個相對合理嘅價位,不過經濟唔好一般超過三十萬區間炒價就相對壓縮起嚟,買家入場減少因此宏觀整個近期市埸自然覺得冧市😂⋯⋯不過最出名嘅幾個品牌只要有心一直控制出貨量其實炒價唔會真係消失
