r/Maliciouscompliance When OP's teacher tells him that he has to give a presentation in class and make it interesting, OP goes for toe-tal shock and awe by bringing in his cadaver-sniffing dog. Of course, if he brings in his pooch, he also has to bring in samples for his dog to sniff! So he brings a severed human toe to school and watches the shock and horror on his teacher's face!

I wore high heels for 14hours as a maid of honor, walking for at least 10hours serving wine to old men/doing parades on a non flat surface, it was painful. Btw I took this decision because the others decided to wear ballerina and it wasn't my taste. I did it two days in a row I may be crazy

The dog story reminds me of My brother-in-law. He had to give a presentation on abnormal psychology and wanted to make an impression. At the beginning of his presentation he passed around a plate of cooked, unseasoned steak. Once everyone had it (and most had eaten it) he introduced his topic - cannibalism. Some students immediately took the steak out of their mouths. The professor just grinned and started eating from the plate, commentating about how good it was. My BIL had clued him in and the professor thought it was a hilarious idea.

The OP from the second to last story had a good idea to prove a point, but it would have been easier to go: "You say dresses and high heels, I say a call to every newspaper that picks up and a story about forcing women to wear tight dresses and heels at work, and then a lawsuit for discrimination and damaging employee health!" It's literally against most countries' labour laws to apply an inconsistent dress codes between men and women, if the difference is unreasonable. Requiring women to wear a dress in and of itself is okay, as it can, too, be considered just an item of smart clothing, an employer can't require women to wear high heels or makeup at work. Especially high heels, since wearing them significantly damages your feet and prolonged wear (i.e. at work every day) can lead to permanent damage. Problem is if you object to this type of shit or point out they can't require you to do it, they can just choose to not hire you or let you go. But if you're pissed off enough...sue the shit out of them and leave with your money is what I say.

also, Selective placement of staff (Such as only the women get to be dealers) is also considered discriminatory if its obvious enough
@ignatz14
@ignatz14 5 жыл бұрын
I have to disagree with you to some extent. Threatening to go to the press and court likely would've been very detrimental for OP and probably some of the other women working there as well. Since not every country has those labor protection laws I could've been quite a risk to immediately threaten with press and lawsuits rather than showing them what the problem was with the new dresscode. Another thing is that it likely didn't come from maliciousness but ignorance, evident by the changes made after the events without extended lawsuits or medial mudslinging. Simply by appealing to their compassion and common sense in light of the new evidence that wearing heels for hours is extremely damaging. And lastly, even if this course of action hadn't worked, the option of reporting it to the press and/or state where still open for them, only this way the stress and drama for OP was at a minimum.
@Futu06
@Futu06 5 жыл бұрын
@@ignatz14 I know, that's why I finished with "If you hate them enough." :D Threatening legal action most likely means having to say bye to that job. I agree that what OP did was probably the best solution if she wanted to keep said job. But I don't agree that it's not malicious and only ignorance - ordering your female staff into clearly sexualised attire doesn't happen by accident. You don't confuse high heels and tight dresses with just any kind of smart clothing. Plus any ignorance to heels being uncomfortable and awful was remedied the second the female staff told them so. It shouldn't require a show and tell - to anyone who's even seen a stiletto shoe in their lives, it should be common sense that you can't be in those for prolonged periods.
@ignatz14
@ignatz14 5 жыл бұрын
@@Futu06 they where probably ignorant to the damage heels can do when wearing them over a long time, probably should've made that more clear. Their thinking was probably along the lines of, "Women are often wearing high heels and dreses when going out and don't seem to have any problems. So it's probably fine when we have ohr female employees wear that too to get more customers." And yes, I absolutely agree making them wear it is pretty discriminatory.
@_monomorph_1411
@_monomorph_1411 5 жыл бұрын
Rainbow Dash is best Pony OP said that all the women told their employers that it was unrealistic, and that they’d never make it to the end of a shift because of how uncomfortable the shoes would be, and their response was basically ‘too bad, suck it up’. They can’t really claim ignorance on that. OP should have sued their asses off at the end of that shift. And the dresses ARE discrimination, because the dress code for men is smart/ black, but the women don’t have the option to wear pants. They HAVE to wear dresses.

definitely lawsuits and union of some sort and some other organizations getting involved for the permanent dmg to the poor girls. especially if they didnt see the aftermath and the woman just went with it till they could no long walk or had an accident. ive seriously shuddered multiple times just imagining this torture show, now trying not to and still. i can only imagine the 1st person perspective of those managers who had barely any empathy to begin with and shocking them into feeling a variety of such emotions turned up to an 8 minimum. compared to those of us with the empathy of a 4 yr old sad to see their mother cry when were the 1s with a broken arm or leg or injured some other way. >_

After the class i asked the bio teacher if I can take my dissection home to give to my dogs. He it was okay and that he would of had to cantul them (a way to get rid of old or unusable meat) and some of my classmates given me theirs too. So in the end i had 4 eyes and 3 hearts in my lunch Tupperware that was place in my backpack , the fur off my key chain, my wallet (with $0 in it, gassed up in the way in) and my cell under all this mess. So my track back to my car was slow, freezing and weighted down( because of backpack). This guy comes running from behind and grabs my bag off my back, then dumps me in the frozen, hard snow. I was stun and lay there for a bit and thinking sh**. But the best part when the butt much screamed bloody murder and calling me a murder. Then he ran off. Some from one of the business ran up and asked if i was okay? i just said cold, while pick up my backpack , books and spilled Tupperware that was on the ground. The jack*** had to look in my bag to take something that was light to run off with had opened the Tupperware with the body parts, then dropped my bag. Had to give a statement to the RCMP (cops) and then drive 4 hours and minutes home in a whiteout . Nothing was stolen, just gotten wet from the snow and i got a cold.

For the dress code story, as someone who is an avid wearer of high heels, I can tell you first hand that you need to test the shoes for comfort and wearability before trying to wear them for more then 30 minutes at a time while walking and standing non-stop. Some heals are "made for walking" as I like to put it, and some are not. Heals that are "made for walking" are generally ones that will leave you with a sore calf or ankle or ball of foot or two but leave little to no other damage and after a while of repeated use you will grow accustomed to this soreness. Heals that aren't made for walking will tear up your feet, leave you with multiple blisters, and could twist your ankle. And a general rule, if you are going to be in your feet all day and you want to or need to wear high heals of some sort, opt for shorter heals that will put less strain on the different at risk areas of your foot, ankle, and leg. And if you can, wear wedge heals as they tend to be more comfortable and give you more balance.

The high heels thing was fucking METAL. I wore ridiculous heels like that for a convention once, for a cosplay. 12 hours, concrete floor, 5" platforms. And like, I didn't bleed, but I did nerve damage and half my feet and all my toes were numb for 1 month and a half following.

Ha ha that was me in the story, I wish it had ended there. The "Well Played" was delivered with a sinister smile and would go on to become a series of passive aggressive assaults against one another until I left that job for a better work environment where I would go on to become the manager.

I would quit on the spot if I was forced to wear high heals at work. I’m double jointed in the legs (I forget what the actual medical condition is called). As a result my feet don’t naturally sit flat on the ground and properly cousin my footsteps like a normal persons would so I tend to roll my ankles on slightly uneven sure faces so wearing high heals is actually dangerous for me.
