I have heard few words that ring so true as "Food is about making people happy". That is why I love cooking, I may only make generic foods, I may not be adventurous and go out of my way to try cooking and eating new things, but the feeling that I have knowing that people are able to enjoy the food that I make is a type of joy that satisfies me like nothing I've ever experienced. I don't prepare food to make myself feel superior, I don't always cook food just to eat it, I make food to see how I have an impact on the people around me and hear both the praises and criticisms that help me do what I love as well as I can.
